You forgot to mention the key feature of this motorhome. It has RWD (rear wheel drive), which is very rare in new motorhomes.

Useful fact - you cannot use this vehicle on a standard driving licence as in 3500kg spec - carrying a 75kg driver + 90% fuel + 20% water it has a remaining payload of 86kgs. So that’s 86kgs to cover one or more passengers, all your food, luggage and equipment - not to mention filling the fuel and water tanks to the top which on their own would take up all the remaining 86kg payload. So this vehicle is only usable with a 4100kg chassis rating.

Pretty sure these Hymers started at £116600 a few years ago - now its £138000? I'm not seeing much improvements other than asthetics over the previous. There are other 4x4 motorhomes that offer more at this price sadly

I love the rugged, aggressive look on the outside but elegant, modern look on the inside. Also love small touches of a double sided door fridge and rotating shower/toilet. Too bad it's not available in the U.S. Thanks for the tour tho.

Hi Emily, thanks for the video. Great quick informative breeze around the stand. Just a small thing, but the brand name is not Cathargo, but Carthago. The 'th' in the middle is pronounced as a 't'. Regards.

Hi Paul, great to hear you like the video! Yes you are correct, in Germany, they pronounce it with a 't' the 'th' is a very British pronunciation. I think it's more personal preference :)

This is the 2nd incorrect review of this vehicle I have seen in KZbin - it's a 6.99m rear wheel drive ..not a 6.74m all wheel drive. Lovely vehicle tho.

Hi Leanne, thanks for your comment. This particular vehicle is an all-wheel-drive. As it is a customer's there is plenty of added extras that don't come as standard, including this. All-wheel-drive is an optional extra, I like to think that is a benefit to ordering something new, as you can choose your own specification. Unfortunately, I did get the length wrong - the ML-T 580 is 6.98m, and it is the ML-T 570 that is 6.74m so thank you for pointing that out to me, I'm only human after all :) Hope that clears things up - Emily

@@southdownsmotorhomes just expected the AWD to be lifted the 9cm as per the Hymer configurator...so does this mean you can order an AWD and it's still the standard height? We are repeat customers of southdowns as you are our very local dealer

4WD without the top heavy ride height is a great option. Interior looks much more modern I'm sure the owner will enjoy traveling all year round in this beautiful machine.

No way is this the 4wd model. Its not lifted enough to be the 4wd model, its also said in the video its the 170hp model, the 4x4 is only 190, and the 4x4 badge is missing off the back. Just a few quick to spot things showing its the rear wheel drive model.

I must say, I do like the large seating area. All too often, I see fixed beds which, to my mind are a space which is only required for sleeping. During waking hours, they are an impediment.
