I was one on the London Based Engineers that made BFBS possibel along with the presenters Nicole, Olga, Hilary, Keith, Richard etc. whe had a true "whale" of a time being at the cutting edge of technology and often spent hours of our time, sometimes during the night, to make things better for the troops in Germany. I so remenber the live link. and then the fact you guys were also allowed to see decent films (not black and white crap from the 40 &50s) . We did our best but sadly our bosses London Weekend Television were adding 30% to the cost so understandably the MOD moved it to the SSVC in Chalfont. Yours were the best days of my working career! Seems to me that back in the day a lot of people took pure advantage of the science that they didn’t have yet and just did what ever they liked murder tho goes to show u all that that’s the only reason why it’s calmed down now easy catch but now we are seeing carelessness because they get very little time now days in and out put the sentence back be strict like these days was it’ll be peaceful
