TY for an interesting presentation. I loved it. I can't seem to pull the trigger on changing my chair. I have a pillow behind me on it bc I'm too short to reach the back. I'm 5'2". Now I 'm concerned about spending more money. I have the kneeling chair also so if I don't need the foot pedal while sewing, I sit on that one and switch back and forth. Any updates to what you showed?

Thank you. Very professional. We have had an infestation of clothes moths for almost a year now. Tried everything--cleaning , washing, vinegar, freezing, steaming, and even bought this giant oven and cooked all our clothes at over 120°. Traps all over every room and closet. We make some headway, but they replenish themselves. Just recently learned about parasitic wasps, called trichogramma. They eat larva. They are so small that you can't see them. Noticing a big difference after the weeks. Will keep it up for at least 6 weekly introduction of new wasps. Also, the electrified fly swatters that you've probably seen, kills larva in rugs if you get on your hands and knees and run the face back and forth on the carpet. They flash and burn. It's very effective. If course there are plenty of places you can't do this, but it's great fur rugs, cushions, spreads, and blankets. Hope this will help some. Moths are a nasty problem.

I always thought that you are supposed to hold the longer Addi needle in right hand, because it is more comfortable to have a bit longer knitting needle and it doesn't matter so much for the holding needle. I also though that the longer one has a bit sharper point exactly because it is the working one... who of us has it right now? Did you try the other way around?

An interesting review on these short circulars, thank you! Last week I bought two sets of Chiaogoo short combo needles. These are interchangeable sets with two 2 inch needles and two 3 inch needles and two cables five inches and six inches so I can have any length from nine inches up to twelve inches! I bought the size needles I use most 2.25 mm for socks and 4mm which I have just knitted a cardigan sleeve on the twelve inch and, though I didn't think I would like them, I love them! The sleeve increases are so much smoother than on dpns and now I don't need to sew up a seam. Well, I have the cuff to sew up as I didn't have the correct needle size so knitted them flat. I can't wait to knit socks on the finer needles!

Hello I know this video is very long ago but can you help me with a few questions? I found a few larvae with the casing in my room. But I have a very hard time to find where it came from. I got my clothes washed but does washing remove them? And if it doesn’t, what happens if I wear that clothes that might have larvae just hatched that I couldn’t see? I fear of worm and wiggling things so I’m super freaking out right now. Do they feed on my body and my hair?? Or they would die after I wear the clothes?

Also how do I distinguish between lint on my black clothes vs moth egg or larvae? It’s super hard to tell now if there are dust on my clothes/bed or they’re the larvae 😭

September 12, 2024: Just came across your channel. I have been looking for any review on 9” needles. I use circular needles but found it so fuzzy for socks. I also use the continental method. This is such a bonus for me and so happy that this video. Thank you for the boast of confidence that I needed.

I have an infestation of cloth/carpet moths. I have not been able to find the larvae anywhere! I have gotten rid of my wool rug but do have a linen couch that I have inspected and vacuumed and steamed. I suspect that the couch is the problem but I don't know how to remove them from this expensive couch that I love. Any suggestions??

What the hell is going on this year? All around my town you can tell the poor folks that have gotten infestations , as all their belongings/ furniture/ clothing / beds/ bedding is out in their yard or getting loaded into trucks . I’ve made contact with 4 different households 1 was bed bugs the rest were moth. I live right in between Boston and New York. These things are wreaking havoc. So what washer gets up to 120 degrees, is that a thing. Also these suckers bite, or sting or whatever. I’m pretty sure these things are, or have something to do with the “stinging lint” anyway on my 3rd attempt. Getting ready to bag up all my clothes and linens and give em to goodwill 😅😅😅, totally kidding I would never. Getting rid of Everything and moving though Fu{k these evil things.

the reason this video's conclusion is nonsense is; she presents no way to define what "dry" clothes are, nothing about ambient humidity during each test run, and how does anyone know what is dry from what is over dried, thus any gadget will seem like some arbitrary 10% margin of error "solution". i use plastic dryer balls because i found them free in curbside left garbage, but i can't really tell if they make any difference and i use an 8min increment coin-op, so i could really use any added efficiency.

I've had a serious infestation of clothes moths that I've had treated professionally several times at great expense and huge inconvenience. After several months or a year or two, I start to see moths again, indicating that some eggs may have survived (or perhaps a new infestation). NaturesGoodGuys offers eggs of Trichogramma wasps that they say can be used to treat clothes moths. (The same product is sold for use in the garden on other caterpillars, so it doesn't seem to be specific for clothes moths). The instructions say to tie a card with dormant wasp eggs in your closet or near the source of infestation when you've seen active moths flying around. You have to add new eggs every 14 days. Have you tried this product? Do you think it would be effective?

Very informative! Thank you. Washing wool, silk or wool/silk blend clothes at 120°F/ 50°C is not realistic. Dry cleaning is expensive, shall one dry clean all the clothes in the proximity of the infected item? How can one be sure to have eradicated the yarn eating moths?

Hello! I am a hysterical and paranoid fiber artist. I have had a moth infestation that was a pain to get rid of and at the time I was working for a famous fiber artist and was scared I would give them to her. I don’t even know where my moths were feeding I just saw them flying around. Thankfully am moth free now but the paranoia has only gotten worse. I am at a fiber artist residency weaving with wool currently and found a moth in my apartment. This is how I stumbled upon your video. I am truly not sure what to do with myself.

My husband bought an Autonomous Ergo Pro when everybody was working from home during that whole debacle, as he was now spending over 8 hours a day in his professional work as a video specialist and graphic designer. I, too, began spending more time at my computer and my old $50 Office Depot chair was causing leg pain and swelling in my feet. I resisted spending so much on a chair, but finally the pain was too much. I tried his chair for a few days and was astonished at the difference! It just so happened that Autonomous had just released a new color for the Ergo Pro: Evergreen -- which, despite its name, is actually more of a spring green. A happy, bright, spring green! I ordered it, and have been utterly thrilled with it ever since. It has all the adjustability I want, with the firmness that supports without being too hard or too squishy. And the COLOR! 😃 Just seeing it makes me happy. Not only is it great for sitting at my computer, it's the only chair I use for long hours of knitting. The arms adjust up and down, so I can rest my elbows or have them free. If I were to get another one for my sewing table, I could leave off the arms altogether. Highly, highly recommended if you have the budget for it. (And ergonomic testing has shown it to be better than the Aeron, at a fraction of the cost.) For those who don't have the budget for an Autonomous chair (or want a lighter-weight chair -- the Autonomous Ergo Pro is quite heavy, so less maneuverable), I can recommend the Sihoo chair I found out about from Sookie Sews in her video "10 Tips for an Efficient Sewing Room." Lucky for me I snagged it on a Lightning Deal on Amazon for $59.99 (regular price $139.99), and it's a great craft chair! The "coat hanger" on the back makes a fantastic handle to move the chair around/out of the way when needed.

Thank you for such a thorough and informative video. I live in NYC, have an extremely large wardrobe that takes up an entire room on clothing racks and every once in a while I think about moths and get freaked out. 90% of my clothes are polyester (all Japanese garments). I have very little wool and no cashmere. After watching your video, I will make sure I vacuum that room more often and check those wool pieces. I will probably order the clothing moth traps out of curiosity. Thanks again!!

Hi, I know that the video I have just been watching is quite old but I will ask you a question if you don’t mind and hope you will be able to help me? I have discovered a couple of garments with circular holes in them. I have thoroughly cleaned everywhere like you have recommended but why is it that I hardly ever see any moths wondering about? Thank you. 🇬🇧

Hey there, I liked the video! It's just... I'm sorry...I'd like to state my current situation to refute one thing: I'm here to tell you as someone who is currently dealing with a minor infestation. They DEFINITELY EAT COTTON AND whatever else they find available that they like. This is ESPECIALLY TRUE when you have very little to no items in wool, silk, or cashmere. Its all and / or mainly what they have to eat and BELIEVE ME THEY DO. A lot of items are partially worn and 100% cotton or blend with polyester. I know this to be true because I have found them of such clothing, pupas, and females. I catch some males in my traps (hopefully all of them). But unfortunately, they eat what they can. Several items that have been stored away suddenly have tiny holes in the middle or side/arm, seams bitten through in places, stands missing to where little pieces come off.... I just don't know where they are hiding... I'd like to find some of those parasitic wasps that inject themselves into the eggs
