It sounds like you needed to JUST lay your head down and BREATH, while having someone take care of ‘you’ for a change :-( To recover - recoup. All that, while still trying to be a mom to a baby is detrimental. Why didn’t anyone come stay with you? Take care of you and let you know that everything would be all right
