Love your work ! I think your work is very true to yourself. I watch a lot of artists and find the copy others style and even sometimes talk the same as they demonstrate, it feels forced and it loses authenticity. Thank you for a beautiful demonstration

Yes!!’ I loved it. I do have a question. What do you add for a quicker drying time? More wax less oil? Linseed oil?
@pattscrivenerartist4 күн бұрын
Add Galkyd gel or marble dust-both will speed the drying time.

Excuse me, what I am seeing is your linear lines, or shapes of the yellow green of the piano player's arm, the yellow green on the arm of the bass player and the neck of the saxophone seem in your videos to have the same or relatively the same thickness.
@pattscrivenerartist4 күн бұрын
If I understand you correctly you are saying the shapes of the yellow green are all the same size. It may be the angle of the video that makes it appear this way.

Thanks for sharing 😊. Can watercolor paint be mixed with cold wax? 🤔, would it be able to tint it?
@pattscrivenerartist10 күн бұрын
You can use the cold wax to seal a watercolour painting. Gamblin,Dorlands,and Zest -it cold waxes are meant to be used with oil or alkyd paints. You can however add dry pigments, graphite and charcoal. There is a wax for acrylic called Powerwax made by Powertex that might be compatible. . I would reach out to them to find out.

Thanks Patt,this is very helpful. My color wheel is always by my painting. Am just now going to make a couple of quick adjustments on a painting which is almost finished. I have a very basic question. It seems to me that the amount of paint on my brush can change how a some strokes turn out. I try to be consistent, but sometimes that doesn’t happen. But sometimes I get a nice happy textured look! Thank you again for doing this so close to Xmas! Cheers
@pattscrivenerartist11 күн бұрын
You're welcome! Using thick paint is a great way to achieve texture. It 9s nice to have a variety of thick and thin and a variety 0f brushstrokes. It makes it a painting not a print! Merry Christmas 🎅!

Hello Patt, thank your for your interesting and beautiful videos. I just found your channel and went through several videos already. However I can not figure out what paint you are using. I see a lot including wax and oil, but I cannot find the video that explains what it really means. I am pretty sure you have explained it somewhere. If so, would you kindly let me know where to look for or send me the link to that video. Thank you very much.
