@michaelmatheny39274 күн бұрын
It wasn't Maren who went out with a whimper but rather the ENTIRE SHOW kinda just fizzled out. When you saw her roles shifting, it was already too late to save the show. I remember a passing remark in a TV Guide article saying how the big failing with this show was that the antagonist/s was not even human, but robotic, and that this didn't help viewers identify with its plot or anything. Even the idea of a beautiful blonde actress playing Caseopeia didn't engage viewers in time. The populace just really doesn't realize how difficult it is to keep a series simply on the air. Maren actually has quite a bit of great work out there, though. She was in a great episode of Fantasy Island where she played, I believe, a doll, trying to take over the personality of its owner.

It seems to me that they wrote in Sheba, a viper flying warrior, to replace Athena. Interesting fact; she was engaged to Don Henley, of the Eagles, and he helped her get through her illness. She and was involved, to a limited degree, in some of his solo albums and are friends to this day.

For me, the most memorable person on BG was never seen. Her's was the voice broadcasting the general announcements when a crisis was imminent, like contact with enemy ships, etc. Any idea who she was? I loved her voice! I best remember Seymour from a mini-series called 'The Awakening Land', in which they tried mightily to make that beautiful woman seem a plain backwoods woman, failing utterly.

the horizontal quilting going all the way down to the waist is in fact sceen accruate. In the show you see two different variants of the beige suede tunic. The main cast always have the tunic where the quilting stops at the cheastline, but then other extras are wearing a tunic where the quilting goes all the way down. Key scenes for verification: Adama leaves the briefing room, and you see a rando guard standing at the door - he's wearing the tunic where the quilting goes to the waist. In the officers launge where we're introduced to Starbuck playing cards - rando warriors are wearing the tunic with quilting going all the way down. And on Caralon at the party hotel. Casseopia gets into an elevator with a colonial rando right befre she gets taken to the basement. The colonial rando is clearly wearing a tunic quilted to the waistline. I dont know why there's to variants and I wondered if its part of some kinda ranking or officer vs enlist thing.

Yes, there actually are some variations of the tan uniform seen primarily on background extras. Some do not have the braiding on the sleeves, or they do not have the extra gold braiding around the collar. A great scene to check out is the batchelor party for Apollo in Lost Planet of the Gods. Check out all the extras! Amazing variety of uniforms!

@Battlestarcallisto28 күн бұрын
Tom, you are absolutely right! I just checked The Man With Nine Lives since I remembered that Starbuck uses a calculator in that episode. There is a scene when Starbuck and Chameleon are talking that Starbuck makes a move to put his calculator in a pocket inside the left flap of his jacket. The shot quickly cuts away, though. Not sure if there actually was a pocket, but he made the move like there was. So even if there wasn't an actual pocket there, the program does show that there would be one.
