do you think it’s possible to transfer to another csu after a year at sdsu (for example sdsu-> cal poly slo)

Command strips at dollar general are super cheap and hold up. We have the poster ones and hooks that carry 5-10 pounds and on,y cost like $3-5!!

So which CSU do you want to transfer to after you finish your GE? I'm really curious. I just got accepted to Long Beach and CSUN for the fall 2022 and don't know which one to go to. I'm from LA as well, from the valley 818

I felt out of place at SFSU and there were guy professors on campus wearing a dress and half the campus was minority. Long story short you’ll feel out of place anywhere. College is for learning not socializing which is what night clubs are for and you are dropping a lot of money 💰.

This is like my nightmare because I’m a Senior in high school right now, 5’1, and asian. I literally look like a middle schooler. I am in an Asian bubble where I am surrounded by people who look like me and share my culture. SDSU has so many of the things I’m looking for…it’s great for what I want to major in (business), beautiful campus, so many places to eat and relax, and 2hrs away from home so not too far that I can’t go home like once a month. The downside is that there isn’t much diversity and that’s a little intimidating, especially because I can be really socially awkward sometimes and am still figuring myself out. I have trouble putting myself out there even though I always want to socialize because I’m always in my head and have a tendency to retreat into my shell. The small solution is that my brother is already going there so he could help me navigate my way through but even then I’m still anxious. He doesn’t face this “dilemma” because he doesn’t think much into that type of thing and just goes with the flow. Anyways…let’s see if I get in first

I decided to go to UCR straight out of high school, however it was not my first choice and it was far from home (I'm from San Diego). I always felt that because I was first generation I had to go to university and that community college was not an option for me. Now, I just had the realization that I will have to go back up to UCR and stay there and take classes and my heart sank. I completely hated the short time that I was there for my first quarter, so much so that I decided to do my classes online and go back home, but now everything is in person and there is no more online option for me. I don't want to go back, I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable during my time there that I would stay in my crummy dorm room and cry. Today, I was trying to find people who are/were in a similar situation as me when I came across your video. Your video really put me at ease and I know I will have to make a though choice soon. It's crazy how fast we grow up, it feels like just yesterday I was 10 and had not a care in the world and now I am soon turning 19 and have so much to think about. I'm not even sure if I want to do what it was I thought I wanted to do. Nonetheless, thank you for making this video and making me see that I am not alone.

You’re supposed to add heat to it with the cap on. I use my blow dryer for 15 minutes. Maybe that’s why it didn’t do the result?

This was extremely helpful! And it definitely gave me an idea for what I'm getting into. I went straight to a junior college and it was the best decision ever. I wish more people weren't discouraged from going to JC's.

Hey Jean, I will be a first-time graduate student at SDSU in the Fall semester this year and I came across your video while looking for inside scoop on what it's like to go to SDSU. Your video was not all what I expected, but I watched it all the way through *because* you're so funny and charismatic! I have to say, you made *such* a good decision deciding to finish your GEs at community. There is literally no reason to pay thousands of dollars for your general ed classes when they are essentially FREE with [what used to be called] the BOG waiver. I hope you are happier now and best of luck to you!

Damn now im a bit nervous lol im a hispanic first generation transfer from my community College in the central coast and SDSU was my first choice and dream school and I got in. Now I dont know weather to be excited or worried now lol

This is literally the same situation I went through. I graduated high school in 2019 and got in all the UCs I applied to. I spent my first year at UCI but I just didn't feel like that was the school for me. I withdrew and now I'm at a cc to transfer to CSULB. So I find your situation so relatable because now that I have studied at a cc, I think its so underrated. The professors are amazing at setting a good foundation for your major and you don't have to spend so much money on tuition to feel good academically. Thanks for this video, now I know I'm not alone in my experience.
