I am far from a professional detailer but I've noticed two things when cleaning plastic lenses, visors, etc. 1) Be careful of what glass cleaner you use as some will attack the material and cause it to damage the surface, and.. 2) I've used some of those fast detailer waxes on a scratched visor and it makes the scratches disappear somewhat and the visor a little clearer. I'm sure you've found what works the best and my comments are out there for the other viewers.😊

Lots of nice metal at that show! But why is your camera out so far? It's GOTTA be blocking some of your vision, right? at 14:17... OMG. Man, those Chin Mounts are an epic fail. Every single motovlogger I know who uses them... has them fail on them. GoPro FTW there. I've had the side mount on my helmet since 2021 and knock on wood, it's never failed me.
@ScottsMotoAdventures3 ай бұрын
I already fixed the helmet mount. Its not going to be out at far and will be mounted lower on the helmet. I also switched to a more reliable insta360 strap mount. with the side mount the plastic got brittle, I had two fails from breaking which is why I got a chin mount...then a strap mount
@RoadReality3 ай бұрын
@@ScottsMotoAdventures Ouch. Glad you got it sorted! Full-face helmets just have so many drawbacks :) Was your side mount a GoPro one, or off-brand? I haven't noticed any issues with mine, and I check it regularly.

If I am riding an off pavement route, I use Gaia, and send it to my Xumo XT. If I’m riding a longer ride, no Ironbutt yet, I tend to use Google Maps, set it to avoid highways, or not… Basecamp is ok, but it can be a bit cumbersome. A lot of times you have to put in so many waypoints that it just becomes way too time consuming…..
