I had one of these amps in my VW bug way back in 87 powering 3 8 ohm 15 inch realistic radio shack woofers with 1.5 inch voice coils. 2.67 ohms cranked and never blew that amp. I won db for a lot of car stereo comps back then at 139. I had the Alpine 3537 parralelled from the carbon woven Alpine 6x9s in the rear deck to the Boston Acoustic 2 ways in the door to the Boston Acoustic tweeters running 1.3 ohm. Never blew up anything and ran this system for a couple years rock solid and crystal clear. Obviously no back seat. I still have pictures. I literally blew my friends minds back then. The car was fast with a 1951 and dual dellorto 45s. I did past 130 mph in it. Still have a couple pictures. All crhomed and gold plater and srainless steel. Thing was mint at age 20

I got a Sony xplode 1200 watt amp laying down in my garage. I had it forever it's been left outside in the ran dropped it been buried in storage units it's been through some shit but I hooked it up about a month ago and damn thing still works I couldn't believe it.

This is really nice. I have a pair of m2's that I picked up used but are in need of a recone. Just wondering on the durability at low frequencies. I hear people rip the triple joints on these all the time so I am concerned with long-term longevity playing <30Hz. I don't play modified music but mainly focused on getting extremely loud in the 37-60Hz range.
