Mcdonald’s nuggets is also my go-to when I’m feeling down or sick too! LOL. it stems back to as a child we never ate out except when we were sick, then my mom would take us to mcdonald’s and it was such a treat.

I love your spread! I totally understand how the horizontal center scene can be so beautiful, but you don't use a lot of the full boxes. It's what I dislike the most about this type of layout even though it's so gorgeous. Welcome to bullet journaling! Trust that the method of learning which supplies you need through doing spreads is the much better route. I would know *stares at hoard of washi tape and markers and stencils and other bujo supplies she may have only used like once*

I'm gonna come back and make a more thorough comment in a little bit when I can, but I didn't want to forget to let you know that Dash of Sun has like torn papers that I often use to layer under a washi that span the full width of the column. She has them in the three foils and a kinda paste colorway too. I used on in my TPPC Carnival spread and in the Glow kit. They aren't has wonky looking as the Sadie's one, but they might be what you're looking for.

Coming back to comment after the work day! I really love the stick deco that you made for Sunday. It's gotta be so fun to play with every time you open to this spread. I love the name "washi alternative page" because it's very accurate. I think most shops call them a washi sampler.

I don't always use the same box liners and it doesn't bother me. I think it makes it interesting in my opinion to use different elements. I absolutely love that scene that you created at the bottom of the weekend. It is so seamless how you pulled all of those elements together.

I was just thinking that I hadn’t seen you on the socials recently. I’m glad it was only because you were busy. I get what you mean about doing less (i.e. more white space) every once in a while. Sometimes it’s just better to get the spread done without the pressure of trying to do more. I like the different weights in the date cover area. It gives it an interesting look. I love what you did with those swatches in the sidebar. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with those. Using it as an underline is so smart. I love your commentary on watching yourself. I’m laughing with you because it’s very much what is going on in my head. Tilting the label boxes and deco doesn’t count. Yes….We definitely need more trailing deco. It just creates movement that is so fun. I love the spread! It’s so simple and pretty.

I know that my two little boys (one orange tabby and one little black cat) don't do too much, but I do wonder what they think when they see other animals out in the yard.

Im so glad the heat broke too. As one without a pool, it was getting a little unbearable. I love that little scene with the flatlay full box in the top middle you did. I didnt even realize it was a full box at first. Gorgeous as always
