Where are other parts of his memoirs?

I usually enjoy Cumberbatch's performances. His voice has beautiful color and enunciation, as well as a pleasant British accent. However. I don't understand why he would read such a book. I don't even understand how this novel endured. It's just 18th(?) Century pornography, written in first person. The central character knows he got some disease (syphilis?) and of course he chooses to spread it as far and wide as he can. Since I wouldn't want to meet Cassanova, I can't bear to finish this.
