Man sounds bored about his own video. AirTran was the first flights I’ve been on and it was great. That’s when I first saw how much busier the Atlanta airport is compared to Pittsburgh

I was actually flying ValuJet between Atlanta and Tampa the same day as the Everglades crash. Probably flew ValuJet on a few round trips but never flew air trans.

I happened to be the first captain to fly the Elton John airplane. My crew and I had landed in Orlando, which was the major maintenance base, and, as we gave up our plane to another crew, we were told that our next plane was being brought to its gate by the maintenance folks. This plane had Elton on the side, and the mechanic who gave me the plane told me that they had just attached his image to the outside. This was the only plane with Elton on it, and we were pleased to put it into service! AirTran’s maintenance was superb, as were its training and operations. It was a buttoned-down, on-time, happy airline, and I loved it.

I flew on air train before in 2010. I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida with my dad, my brother along my cousin AKA @theroadrunner556 and my aunt and uncle from Texas. I flew on that airline from Pittsburgh international airport (PIT) to Orlando international airport.(MCO)

My first solo flight as an adolescent was on airTran. Then used it multiple times for trips between Nyc/Nj and Atl. It was always a nice voyage with them

I took an AirTran flight from Flint bishop to Orlando international in 2013. I loved their service at Flint and they were the last non budget airline to offer a decent amount of flights to places around the US from there. Since I live in the UP, it was nice to be able to drive to a closer airport than DTW. But now that Flint bishop is dead, I’m forced to go to DTW.

My first ever solo flight was on AirTran. After that I was hooked, every time I had extra money I’d go to the airport and hop an AirTran flight somewhere. Usually paying with cash, man how things have changed. Thanks for the memories and all the safe flights AirTran 🤍

My family would spend Christmas in California- Lake Tahoe area- so we could see and play in the snow. Every year we flew AirTran. I remember hearing Alicia keys ‘No One’ for the first time on their XM radio and dancing so hard in my chair the lady behind me asked me to stop 😂. These days I find myself in Canada for the snow and Delta does a good job but nothing beats those childhood memories.

Oh my god I remember Air Tran so well. I flew in 2008 on a 737-700 from Orlando to Nashville. The whole crew aboard the aircraft were extremely kind. I will always remember flying AirTran. Thank you for this video.

I used to fly airtran all the time when I was a kid. We would fly from baltimore to dallas a few times each year to visit family. I always remember the service was great. I am now getting my pilot's license and working my way (hopefully) to the airlines. Airtran has always been fond in my memories as the airline where I fell in love with planes.

I have flown on Airtran Airways. My first flight was shortly after the ValuJet/Airtran acquisition. The DC9-30 aircraft I was on was still in the ValuJet livery however the flight operated as AirTran Airways. I've always been fascinated with both ValuJet and Airtran Airways history. AirTran is surely missed by myself and ValuJet too for that matter. Thanks for your dedication to your clip. Greatly appreciated!!

I grew up flying AirTran. My step dad piloted for valuejet, then AirTran, then southwest. My parents lived in separate states so every other weekend we were hopping on a AirTran plane to go back and forth between parents. I lived on concourse C in Atlanta, spent nights in the airport, stayed in the employee lounge etc. I flew on the dc9, then the 717 and later the 737. Good times.

My very first flight was on an air Tran 717 from Tampa to Michigan and later that summer we were flying back-and-forth so many times that they upgraded us to first class for free that was a very good airline very smooth never had a issue I remember the free headphones they would give you to listen to the radio and they always had good snacks on the fight a full can of soda and two bag of chips if you asked nicely really like the experience
