Awesome stuff! Somehow marimbas that don’t have resonators sound awesome in their own way 👍🏼

How would you rank the four rotations based on difficulty? Great playing by the way. Really helped me with phrasing.

Is this the easiest rotation and if not what is? And also does this require five octave?
@WilliamBrownPercussion9 ай бұрын
All the rotations are pretty close in skill level, but IV may certainly be the easiest! No five octave required, just 4.3
@Overwatchmaster30009 ай бұрын
Does this require octave grip….
@WilliamBrownPercussion9 ай бұрын
Not too much, as the right hand is high enough that you don’t have to switch over. Good to get comfortable with it as soon as possible though!

Great playing. Your marimba playing is stellar. This performance is on par with the Vida Chenoweth recording; frankly, this is a world class performance. The level of technical prowess is impressive. Thanks for sharing this musical masterpiece of early marimba repertoire. Often these pieces are overlooked and they present technical and physical problems for the marimbist that are fundamental to becoming a better player. Once again, tremendous playing.

Static Unfolding was written for me by Jamie Koller. It involves extreme hand independence to create an oscillating texture that I haven’t encountered before.
