I found a stone in Lake Ontario just like the one at 6:45. I keep it on the windowsill by my kitchen sink so I can get it wet on a sunny day and marvel at how cool it is!

that's so cool. Thanks for sharing that story. I have a similar situation, on my back deck I display my favorite rocks on a table near my swing. I love going out there and handling all my cool rocks and seeing them in the sun . I have a sparkly one Estivant Pines in the UP that is my favorite.

@michele2017promastertravelАй бұрын
"Harvesting' was the word used for gathering copper from the lake bed in the UP at places we visited that had information boards about the process. Please be kind. Life is too short to be nit-picky and unkind for no reason. Be encouraging one to one another.

Enjoyed your video tour. In 1970 as a kid my family explored copper mining areas on the UP. I found a 4" flat nugget outside a still standing copper mine shaft building. Was great to see what the mine shaft-building looked like. My older brother and I explored an abandoned 1 story copper processing factory. On the walls were posters from WWII ! I hoped for "Loose Lips Sink Ships" but found and took a WAAC Recruiting poster. (Women's Army Air Corps). At home after a while the poster several layers thick just crumbled from acidic paper aging. Down a flight of wet stairs a spooky bare overhead light bulb hung, still on. Outside, several rusted ore cars 'waited' on abandoned tracks. I wish I knew what village/ spot that was. Anybody know? Hope the mine shaft building and abandoned WWII factory is still there; hopefully it's been preserved in some way. Several years ago I Googled for pictures of it, but didn't find that particular one. Agree with another comment: "Pasties are amazing."

Looks like it's going to be a perfect fall getaway for us and our husbands.

You're going to love this spot. The hike around the lake has many benches. Congrats on baby. I had 4, best thing I ever did.
@lipfishingthosebass581223 күн бұрын
A woman had a tree fall on her in that exact area of campground while changing a babys diaper a couple months ago. She is really hurt bad but saved her baby. The lake has zero fish, the trail around the lake is nice and even has a memorial for veteran's. No boat rentals at all and lots of poison ivy so be careful. By the way Raccoons are everywhere at night in the campground!!
@michele2017promastertravel23 күн бұрын
@@lipfishingthosebass5812 that's a lot of good info, thanks for sharing. When I walked around the lake there was a dead raccoon. I reported it to the lady at the school house and she said they would probably taxidermy it.

Good idea to monitor the feed lines. Restaurants are supposed to clean or replace the drink dispensaries regularly. If you drink tastes flat or off, it can be mold build-up in the feed lines or connections. Good job, well presented. The removable galley makes it easier to move friends or kids stuff on moving days…which of course never happens. Ha ha
