Hi there! Believe it or not, it's a Marshall MG15 practice amp. Absolutely perfect for these demos, doesn't need to be overly loud, so won't distort (in a bad way). Pretty much emulating a full cranked amp without blowing my eardrums. Thanks for the comment! Cush.
@Flametopology3 күн бұрын
It really does sound very Marshall-like for sure... I never would have thought that little amp would sound so darn good. My main rig is an '83 JCM800 50 that I use with my R9 and your little amp sounds every bit as good! Heck I just may need to get one! 😊. Nice to hear back from you buddy. Thanks so much!

Beautiful LP. Man I dig your playing. Who would you say are your big influences?
@PaulCush6 күн бұрын
Hi there, thanks for your comment. As far as influences go, I'm a Thin Lizzy fanatic so Scott Gorham, Brian Robertson, Gary Moore, John Sykes. Then there's Billy Gibbons, Angus Young, Slash, John Fogerty to name a few... Locally here in Perth, my good mate Michael Vdelli is a massive influence. Check out vdelli.com.au/ or search Vdelli here on KZbin. What about yourself? Kind regards, Cush.

@@PaulCush hey thanks man. I asked because I really dig your playing style. Very blues based rock and nice major and minor pentatonic vibes. Your influences make sense. I am very influenced by slash, SRV, and Clapton. But I also like Hendrix, Gibbons, and recently been listening to the first lynyrd skynyrd album and really dig their melodic yet dirty blues style. Thanks for the response. Occasionally I just see guys playing and I’m like “that’s what I’m going for” and you have a style that I like and feel I’d like to incorporate. I’ll check out your link too. Cheers 🎸👍🏼🤘🏼

@@PaulCush for sure man, I have been playing a while and got to a pretty good level. Definitely trying to improve but also trying to just enjoy myself. I’m 50 so I’m not a spring chicken ha. I definitely pull from guys I like but have realized that when I play it it tends to sound like me, for better or worse ha. Cheers 🎸👍🏼🤘🏼

Hey, what was the difference between this and your j-45s?
@PaulCush8 күн бұрын
Hi there! Differences being completely different body shape, Maple back and sides, and Maple neck. Not as bass responsive as my J-45s which are Mahogany back, sides, and neck. This J-185 was quite a bright sounding guitar. Was beautiful to play and a lovely tone, but didn't suit my playing. Kind regards, Cush.

Hi Richard, thanks for your comment. Yeah, these minis are great, and they're all different depending on the year, build, weight of the guitar, which is very cool. Thanks for this. Why? Well, firstly I enjoyed your playing. And secondly, I have this exact guitar, bought new in 2012, and since then it's never been played, if you can believe it. I also have the MIM rosewood strat from late nineties, Midnight Wine, bought used mint, as in unused, for £200 about seven years ago - 10 mins play. For some reason I only play my budget guitars. Have a Blacktop Jazzmaster, and Strat, 'Blackie' style MIM strat 2010, a Fender '51 Pawnshop made in Japan, and a 2010 Fender Classic Player SB, maple neck. None played yet. Also a Hotrod Deluxe III, and Blues Junior, neither yet used. Your video has inspired me to use this stuff. There are more.

Hi there! Thanks for your comment. Brand new prices in Australia are upwards of $9,500 AUD and after extensive market research, service, setup, documentation, photos, listing write-up, and being an actual registered Australian business, I feel as though my asking price is quite reasonable. All my listings can take around 6-8 hours. And yes, to most people this may look like a Standard. But to people who know, players and collectors alike, this is a stunning example of a '58 Lp which were in fact 'plain tops' back in the day. Full details are on my website via the details below this video. If you care to view the full listing as well my other offerings, please feel free. Kind regards, Cush.
