The fire against the rock wall, together with the smoke makes the whole wall a warm radiator. The enclosure with logs on the other side would also be getting a bit warmer from that. Makes a snug haven: all you need is some spruce boughs or similar underneath the bed and that's well set up for the night!

As a kid we watched the interstate highways being built some times the builders used dinomite and by our campground they piled up boulders,making us a new camp inside all kinds of room,put up some dividers made some rooms,hope new kids have as much fun as we did!!!

I LIKE Part 2! The shelter is nicely buttoned up. We see how wood blocks, conifer boughs and reeds can be intermixed to provide insulation and a springy mattress.

Not generally "into" soundtracks, but the one you used on this video was OK. I really just like the sounds of nature. Also, hearing the sound of someone chopping wood is very reassuring, because it lets me know that even if I am not working to provide for winter, someone is. ; - )

The pegged together structure seems as if it will be very strong! No metal to rust out or fail in the cold.
