I think it could work. My bike be more flat laying on foot peg or hopefully handle bar. Cause I don't have huge saddlebags or side bar for bike to rest on. His bike is more on angle which helps him being able to wedge himself in between. If bikes flat u can't get ur back in there, so ud have to deadline bike up little more. Anyway hopefully ill never lay it down 🤞I like video tho

Yea you’re making this video for the all the Harley Shops in general for all the new Harley bike owners. Trying to sell a Harley tire gauge on a KZbin video. Are you kidding me? Don’t buy a cheap one either. I trust Milton or equivalent but some other brands are good too but lol I’m not paying Harley prices for a tire gauge. Other people will for this but this guy sure not ✌️

Thankfully I won’t ever have to pay for this. My harley didn’t even make it 700 miles before blowing a transmission and engine.

Braden made it look easy, I just dropped my road glide practicing u-turns and no one was around, I’m 55 and used to be fit like Braden but imagine Braden working in an office for 30 years and still thin but the muscles aren’t there anymore at 55…. It took me 5 tries, felt my back straining hint keep your arms fully extended this helped me minimize using my back too much…. I got it finally but wow it was so difficult, I walk my dog about 2 miles daily but if it wasn’t for that I don’t think I could’ve picked it up. I almost walked over to the police station that is within eye sight of where i practice but was too embarrassed so opted for one more try, three more, five tries then I got it. The bike won’t start when it’s laying over I thought if I could start it, keep the front brake on and give it a little gas in first gear it would pick itself up, but it won’t start when it’s laying on its side. No damage was done not even one scratch maybe there’s a scratch, but if you have a heavy bike and you’ve never had to pick it up, I would suggest giving it a try while it’s at home and you have a friend nearby. The trick is hand placement, my hand kept slipping off the seat just as I got close, the bars that protect the bike are too low and that’s what caused my back strain. Luckily, I have a back rest so I was able to grab that along with the handlebar and that’s what finally helped me get it up.

I started to practice this with a friend nearby just in case I needed help. It's definitely doable but I didn't want to do it more than a coupe of times because it seemed like I might bend the handle bars. But now I know I can pick up my downed bike. Thanks

Perfect explanation… and one that alleviated some of my internal concerns (Until now, I’d always bought used one owner bikes but the 2023 RGS I recently purchased off the showroom floor has given me food for thought about all the points you just touched on!) Thank you for the information and for the solid advice.

@beri232

Mine is a 2014 Softail and cold it sits just a hair above the add line. Before I learned the proper procedure, I filled mine just below the full line while cold and it spit oil out my breather tube for quite awhile. Left a little puddle on my garage floor every night. Glad I had it vented externally at least or that crap would have made a mess of my throttle body. lol

Just my humble opinion, you would have to be out of your mind or have money to burn to get a "service"/ oil change done at harley. Would you pay 500 for your cars oil change hell no because that's pretty much all they do oh and they might tighten your spokes lol
