Dear Madam, Although you,d presented the method in the video, will you please say once more how to do the Varahi Mudra?
@BreatheLosGatos11 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. Varaha Mudra is a complicated one to figure out fingers. It is easier to think this way. It is a simple transition from Kurma mudra. Only 3 fingers change the positions. It is helpful to begin from Kurma Mudra. Kurma Mudra is: Turn the left palm up and make L shape with the left thumb and the left index finger. The right index finger pad connects to the Left Thumb pad. The right pinky and the left index fingertips connect. Then the right middle and ring fingers curl and catch the left middle, ring, and pinky fingers curling inward. The right thumb touches the near the wrist and the base of the left thumb. It is Kurma Mudra. Now you only change 3 fingers to go to Varaha Mudra. Let go of the connection of the right pinky and left index. The right pinky curls in with the right index finger. The left index finger wraps around the right side of the hand. The right thumb aligns next to the right index finger. - Izumi

And maybe you'll laugh like I just laughed out loud during this vid. I literally just messaged someone, "God, I'm judgmental about feely yoga people. Searching yoga on youtube thinking I might switch it up and notice a promising new yoga person. It's all "yoga for your inner child" and "release blah blah emotional blah blah yoga. How about "yoga not for losers?" Then you said something like, "Sometimes we, as humans, insert judgement into the situation with thoughts like, 'What a loser I am for not being able to do this pose.' That's not helpful." Well played, Universe. 🤣 Beautiful!

I loved the opening lesson regarding embracing 'good' and 'bad' together as a unit. It is very useful to understand this wisdom. And, holy cow that practice was a spring wake up call!! thank you.

What a wonderful warming treat on this snowy Nebraska day. I have made a point of making sure my math students are not defining themselves as 'bad' at math only determined by their experience in public education. Who is to say? so true. We provide an experience and hope it leads to growth, but who is to say if my way of teaching opens your path to the language of math. Only through continual experiment and curiosity. Thank you for the reminder, I will be sure to bring this message to my own students again this month. Blessing on you my teacher.

Ouch! I'm trying to get back--after several several months of just yard work (and many other excuses, incl 79hbd). Was doing "ok" til those crows flew in! Loved the core work--I just need so much more. Thank you for your beautiful, soothing voice and thoughtful guidance.
