See instructions On first page of question paper It is given to use g=10m/s^2 So when it is accelerating (of free fall) a=g=10m/s^2 When decelerating a=-10m/s^2

In Question 9(c)(ii) how is A not vertically above D, as in how is the angle of elevation from D to A not 90'? They lie on the same plane in the diagram, and D is south of A. I don't understand, any help would be appreciated.

Elevation of A from D is zero as both are on horizontal ground Elevation of X is asked Imagine yourself standing at some point away from a tree, your feet are point D, foot of tree is point A, and asked elevation is X which is top of tree from your feet

sir in q6 , the question mentions the engine only so how do we know now that we were supposed to take the coach as well , i only solved forces respective on the engine

Number of equations should be equal to number of unknows. To solve for tension and acceleration we need 2 equations to solve simultaneously. Also the are connected bodies and must have same tension and acceleration so we can very much use it as solve for unknows. Also if we write the only equation which is cantered around engine . We will have 2 unknown and won’t be able to solve it.

sir in q2 while labelling forces , why dont we label normal contact force as when the ring is being pulled by the strings , there will be contact so wont there be a contact force acting in the direction of 2N

Diagram is not compulsory, however it does help in understanding the question, so the details mentioned in drawing would also depend on individuals practice. Labelling all the forces is a good option . Yes we can label contact force as well

Respected viewer, the solution is correct, I double-checked it again with the marking scheme as well, when you are taking the LCM do not forget that 2 stays in the denominator, therefore it is (4x2 + 3)/(2)=11/2. Final that leads to the final answer (22,0)

Not necessarily, As we already know it is a cubic graph and will be coming down after t=14 in this case. Also there is no demand in question to show velocity at t=0 or t=15
