When I had a son I read everything I could read about it. Helped me out considerably as my dad passed when I was 13. My mom struggled to raise me and my younger sister. So needless to say I didn't even know really what it was like to be a dad or what I was supposed to do. I think something good to know is we become a father the day we have a child so there's no real easing into it so to speak. I think lazy parenting is probably one of the most destructive things our society can do. We've got to be on top of it as their parents. I send my kid to a Christian school I pay my ass off but I live in a s***** area and the school is kind of suck around me so I paid 10 grand a year. It's up to us the parents to make them respectful and smart and strong all these good qualities we have to put them there. I really liked one of the books that I read was called patient parents Happy kids. I'm almost positive it was called that but anyway that was a really really good one I really learned a lot there. My son is 9 years old now and he is a perfect little boy. He gets himself up for school makes his own lunch does his own laundry lol and all this with no trouble at all. He's a responsible little dude that's for sure and I'm a proud dad. I tell him this on a daily how much I love him and how proud I am of him. He can do anything he wants to do.
