Yes Pete! Structure is meant to guide not restrict. Play what's in front of you and when things get messy fall back to your shape to reorganise and reset. Late here but great breakdown

Love it. I am modelling my kicking style on Pollard. Would really love to see an analysis of Morne Steyne. But also a constructive analysis of Manie Libbok as he seems to have a lot of trouble with goal kicks.

@@rugbybricks League lacks the fluency you can get in rugby union because your constantly resetting whereas if you looked at Ireland ruck speed in the 2022 six nations had and average ruck speed of 2.78 seconds allowing a rapid and exciting game. Although I believe the time wasted in union scrums is ridiculous all the oppourtunities for turnovers is more exciting as both a player and a spectator. Yet I do play league for my local club in the summer and enjoy not worrying about having support when carrying to contact

Could you please help me? Sometimes the Kicking Tee moves off it's original placement after the Ball has been kicked. What causes that? Is that an indication of bad technique, wrong 'Sweet Spot', wrong Tee or a combination? Does the Tee rolling away mean the flight of the ball has been compromised in any way? Maybe the rolling of the Tee should happen just like the top Golfers take a big divot out of the Fairway when chipping for the Green etc.

@@rugbybricks Hi Pete, my kicking days are well gone due to age & a dodgy hip but I am interested via a Rugby point of view in general. It is not for any particular brand tee but rather just in general. Like in this vid, you have marked the Sweet Spot within the 2 strips of tape which is well away from the tee itself yet after the ball is kicked, the tee moves off it's spot. The same thing happens with other kickers like DC, Johnny Wilkinson etc. It doesn't always happen even for the same kicker in the same game. I'm just curious. Cheers. PS: I also (secretly) 'judge' a kicker's personality/ethics if they generally pick up the tee & give it back to the Tee Assistant or leave it up to the Tee Assistant to chase the Tee & pick it up...
