Trotlines is fishing but I would keep the main line tight along its length n weigh it down in several spots and put a float where your weights are so the main line suspends off the bottom about 18 inches or so
@edooutdoors31610 күн бұрын
I agree, I need a lot heavier weight than what I'm using. One big cat can mangle it. Thanks for the tips, I'll will try it next time
@user-ot2ik6jx2o10 күн бұрын
@@edooutdoors316 if you can’t tie main line from bank to bank you need a heavy object to tie too get the line taut as possible n then drop it then start from bank doing lines and weights/ float while the back guy baits
@edooutdoors31610 күн бұрын
@user-ot2ik6jx2o that is what i planned on doing but it was free fishing weekend here in arkansas and many eyes were out. I put it were I didn't want to. Now that everything is settled I'm gonna do that. Thanks for the tips

Good information. I know a lot of guys that have them and love them but didn’t think about the sun penetrating the fabric. I came across one that someone lost on the highway so best review I could give would be on a used, slightly scratched and a little bent up version lol
@edooutdoors31613 күн бұрын
Wished it was a bit narrower. Yeah it definately makes it hotter in the afternoons if the sun is shining directly on it. Guess a person could lay a towel over it.

BnM ultra lite jig pole. Good as it gets in my opinion. I have others as well, including ACC and Sam Heatons, but the rear seat BnM is my favorite. Good idea on the laundry basket with the pool noodle float.

I've abused those poles, and they are still holding strong after 17 years. I broke the tips on all, but it was my fault. Thankful for replacement tips. Love the basket as long as I don't forget about it and tip it over on a limb or trolling motor. Thanks for watching and commenting!

If livescope is cheating, what is using your GPS?, Try using a MAP instead?

This guy dosent need anything friend. GPS comes standard on most fish finders nowdays. Most guys only use the depth finder, and maybe side scan for locating beds.

Yeah, there's no need for any electronics this time of year on the river. But you do have to find the right treetop that's loaded. Not all tops are the same. However, when they go deeper, they are impossible to find without at least a cheap sonar and they're not always in the same spot. There are those that can be caught feeding on shad during extreme temps, but I rarely target those. Thank you for watching!
