Knights and Panthers built mostly through trades and other teams free agents signing. Flyers have enough guys on team they drafted it's time to find other teams free agents that are good. Marner can be had they just got to make sure he will resign. Flyers can't give TK this ridiculous contract they have to many players on team with these long term contracts. The Coots contract is crippling. 20 draft picks in 2 years. Move some for players. U cant bring the same team back I'm sorry. There PP was so bad so there doing this again?? It's the same players nothing will change

I am a bit bewildered knowing that Coots had an injury that most likely would require surgery, why Torts treated a player he just made captain the way he did with the benching situation? What really did that prove ? I am not sure it sent a great message around the locker room.

So.... 20-21] 24gp 3goals 8points 21-22] 81gp 4goals 32points 22-23] 8 gp 0goals 0points 23-24] 34gp 3goals 7assists This guy has barely played but one full season his whole career. He's missed the PAST 2 SEASONS! This and a 2nd round pick was the return for C. Gauthier? WOW. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤡 Just what The Flyers needed in return for giving up an Elite forward prospect (Future 1C point per game potential) who has been lighting up every league he has played in so far... Another LTIR contract on the blue line who's barely played hockey due to health issues in his last 2 seasons. And is YET to prove Hes anything other than a 3rd pair 2nd PowerPlay guy if he can even stay of LTIR. What could go wtong!?

BARKEY is a great player .You dont have to be big to play a good game of hockey .Theres a lot of great players that are small who make a lot of nice plays more then the bigger players.🏒

As an American, I would like to say that I AM SOOO PROUD OF IVAN PROVOLOV for standing up against that nasty nonsense that the nhl was doing in dragging everybody to celebrate d*ck to man booty night. Because of him, more nhl players were encouraged to refuse as well. Ivan Provolov is a G!!!!!

Yes Nick Seeler. Another overpaid role player with WAY too long of a contract IDGAF about taking care of Nick Seeler. You don't owe these players ANYTHING, BUT THEIR CONTRACT. THIS IS A BUSINESS!!! YOU DO OWE YOUR FANS EVERYTHING... Flyers management needs a reality check on their emotions and how to run a Cup competing team. These guys have Won NOTHING for us! They are not Ovechkin or Crosby. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤡 Wtf "extra" loyalty do WE owe an underperforming player on too long of a contract? Or even an overpaid player who's still good plain and simple. The FANS are who you owe! Not a team of bottom-middle six overpaid players on LTIR who can't make the playoffs.. Im sorry, I really truly am. But this was true loser talk and ridiculousness. That's why we have contracts like Couturier's and Risto's. STOP paying so many mid level players like they are going to be Stars in the future and "might earn their deal! It's RIDICULOUS! Do you see Colorado offering MacKinnon 15m? Have you seen Chicago's Cap space they have WITH Bedard now? Have you seen NJ's? Meanwhile this team is looking to be max CAPPED with no Michkov contract yet. No future 1C. No future 1D. No future star goaltender. Where tf did the CAP space go? And for what!? A team without ONE 70 point guy? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤡 And don't even get me started on Drysdale for Gauthier. We got ROBBED by Anaheim. And they kept Zegras? 🤦🏻‍♂️😩 Drysdale has been injured for the past 4 years! They guy has missed like 70% of the games in his career so far? Who tf thought Drysdale and a 2nd round pick was an okay return for our 5th overall pick with Elite 1C potential, C. Gauthier who's been TEARING IT UP all year and would probably be a top3 pick if we redrafted? I'm still I'm disbelief everytime I see Drysdale's stats. Future point per game potential 1C- Cutter Gauthier for an overpaid bottom pair Defenseman who's been injured the past 4 years? Are you kidding me? Does Anaheim still get Laughton and owe us a 1st round pick AND Trevor Zegras or something? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤡💩 Drysdale is a BUST. You know it. I know it. Guy can't stay healthy in the regular season! He'll get mauled in the playoffs! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 And Briere got absolutely ROBBED. And screw the Bull💩 excuses. Should've sent him to the minors until we got a decent return if he wouldn't sign. IDGAF. Flyers management did the EXACT WRONG thing in this situation. What kind of Example does this set for kids in the future? 🤦🏻‍♂️ Hands down. Idk how you could even argue otherwise! Every Flyers fan on earth felt this pain and knows this trade was complete B.S. ESPECIALLY with a high 1st round pick and Zegras sitting available RIGHT IN ANAHEIM! Unbelievable.

This team NEESDS talent!!! Briere should be camping outside Anaheim's front office in a tent asking how to bring Zegras in! Reality Check!!! This team needs an elite scorer who can drive play with 1C/100 point potential to play Center for Michkov. And he'd insulate Couturier and Frost. There is NO player we're going to pick in this draft with more 1C elite scoring potential than Zegras. Isn't the reason we have a coach like Torts is so we can capitalize on rare opportunities (like Zegras) when they come along? With Torts program Zegras could be a PURE BEAST in-between Michkov and Konecny/Tippet. Send Sanheim and the 32nd pick with a 2nd? Or even York? Or Bonk? (If we absolutely HAD too. I think he's WAY easier to replace than Zegras with 1C elite potential)

Or Sanheim and the 12th pick. 🤷‍♂️ I'd rather have Zegras than any mid-level prospect they're going to get at 12. Hell I'd trade a 4th-5th overall package for Zegras and RUN!!!

This season was handled horrible. Should’ve just tanked for a higher draft pick. Danny doesn’t want to admit that it will take a while for the rebuild because he still wants to sell tickets.

Konecny is a good player. But he is yet to hit 70 points. Yet to hit 35 goals. Let alone 40. He has 1 goal in 20some playoff games. And is very streaky health wise. If he wants more than an 6yr by 8.5m they should trade him. They should trade him now anyway while his value is high. Stop paying players on their ceilings. Konecny is on average a 25-30 goal 60point kinda guy. If The Flyers management give him a 10m aav they should just be fired at this point. Not to mention trading Gauthier for another defenseman with health issues who has barely played the past 4 seasons. People are truly talented to defend this after team's history in the past 10 years.

The "defense" bag is really overflowing ... a good problem to have, although we are going to have to start filling the "offense" bag sooner or later. TK leads in goals next year UNLESS Tippett improves his shot accuracy - if he can raise his shooting% even by a couple points that could be a big difference. Volume is definitely there.

Actually they took away the 11 game season package this year. So is that taking care of the fans? why not offer that again? Talking with my sales rep from last season they are pushing for people to purchase half season (25 games) and full season ticket packages.

Bill: love your insight, but you need to study up on buyouts. If the Flyers were to buyout Atkinson, they would save $3,516,666 in 2024-25 Cap Hit ($2,358,334 Cap Hit would remain in 2024-25 compared to $5,275,000 without a buyout). I think you were referring to the actual $$ savings (as opposed to Cap Hit Savings) of $1,758,333. There would be an additional $1,758,334 Cap Hit in 2025-26. A buyout of Cal Peterson would yield $4,000,000 in Cap Hit savings (according to CapFriendly) in 2024-25 -- not the $1,000,000 you referenced.
