Dude, power & torque are completely different things that you don't understand by what you are saying. Yes, the larger secondary the pulley, the slower and more torque are produced smaller the secondary pulley, the faster it goes, but at a weaker cutting tool. I think you have the general idea, but didn't explain it clearly. You would have less difficulty getting grip on your pulleys, if you used more of the surface to grip on. Your tension can push on the back side to adjust tension. I noticed that you have one large opening, reducing your belt contact areas.

Suggestion: fire treat including the end, brush off heavy charring, brush on oil until no more will soak in, drop in the hole. Heat treating helps prevent bugs and fungal rot and the oil repels water rot and water-logging posts. I can't remember the name of this ancient Japanese technique, but that's it in a nut shell. Cheers from Alberta, Canada.

My family worked at Collins 4 generations, until the plant closed in 1966. The new Collins axes are built in Mexico in a factory Collins built in the 1950s.

I hope you are well. I seen a video regarding preserving posts that was intuitively prudent. Try this with a post and watch. 1. Use a dry 8' cedar post. 2. With a weed burn torch, scorch/char the bottom 4' at a minimum, I do 5'. 3. When cooled apply boiled linseed oil over the char at a minimum. Let it cure / dry for 3 days. 4. Put the pole in the hole and add fence. Good luck.

If you surround the post with stones (inside the hole) the water drains to the bottom and plus the post won't move. Very good effort sir.

Does it matter which wire goes into X or Y, as long as it’s not ground? Amateur video with the wind noise. We can’t hear you at the most important time.

The bearings and guides very close to the cut accepts the side pressure of blade. It should never be pushed off the wheels.

This doesn't look right, you should have two hot wires a ground and a neutral. You would only be getting 120v from this set-up.

You could use those tall posts well as: BatBox or Birdhouse perches, for insect control, or stretch heavy Shade cloth fabric between them as Fog catchers that feed a half cut pipe below, to harvest water direct to nearby plants/trees. Also grow vines up them and across wire. Or Espelier tree growth between posts.

It seems to me your tensioning pulley decreases the wrap around the drive pulley to less than 90 deg. Wouldn't a roller pushing the belt upward in between the two pulleys decrease the chance of slipping? You would need a shorter belt, of course.

I really appreciated the points you covered. The experience you have had with your mill and the honest description of areas of improvement were terrific. The engine thing is called the shaft that the centrifugal clutch is attached to. But I’m sure you’ve had someone else tell you that by now. Thanks for your video it helped me to reconsider some important things to rethink in my plans. You did a great job…👍👍👍

that so funny .. there is a lot of basic evident bad concept in your mill and you give clue .... tire does not add problem for the blade direction , but you need ball bearing guide for the blade, and it is obvious that the strap do not engage properly on the pulley of the engine..but only a quarter ... and a lot more ..calculation of the speed of the blade is missing here , 8 inch pulley ?? are you serious ? and you put kerosene whit tire wheel , this is where your slipping problem came from man .use water and soap , and the lubrification of that blade is also for keeping the blade cool , it is important.!!
