What a gig that was ....19 year old, sweat dripping off me and as happy as I've ever been. It was all downhill from there.....

The closer to the North West you got you'd find it was more of a melting pot. You'd find people in sports gear and people not in sports gear all under the same roof and no one gave a fuck. No one was judging anyone based on what they were wearing. The House music was better than Sugar Sweet too (largely tough instrumental House like Axe Corner - Tortuga and Back II Front - Viewfinder - we didn't call it deep or progressive, we called it hard house and our DJs could cut it up better than Billy Nasty ever could) and we also had Hardcore nights in the same venues. It wasn't as segregated as Belfast quickly became.

Belfast in particular was a fucking joke. Back then if it's wasn't divided by religion, it was divided by check shirts and moleskin jean wearing pretentious clowns with ponytails Vs Spides in shell suits - who's rave is better etc. We're better than you etc. The whole thing was supposed to be against egos. It was supposed to be about the music. It was supposed to be about having an open mind. The absolute state of those Sugar Sweet people lol What a bunch of wankers and Holmes and McCready were mediocre at best.

Best alternative band ever in my opinion. And before anyone says. What about oasis. Well. What about oasis. Ohh. Yeah. They used to support shed seven. 👍👌💯

me the mrs and 4 friends went all the way down to Cornwall, stayed in a caravan, 4 of us traveled all the way down to the furthest we could in Cornwall, camped out in a field newa a stone circle, king arthur was there as high as a kite, a girl her japaneese boyfriend and her mum joined us at our camp fire for the night, was a great night, However, nhe next day was really cloudy, we saw nothing but clouds, the sky darkening over the sea towards us, it getting cooler, birds chirping, then it getting light again. the kicker was our mate who stayed at the caravan had a clear view, even those at work in lewisham had a better view than us. was still a great weekend tho,,,,,, 😆 DS MA CC LC GB SB
