I am wondering if after all Janet did have a softer heart than anyone gave her credit for 😢, hurt people hurt others, who knows what had happened to her in her own childhood, maybe she never got to experience the love and support of caring parents 💔. The fact that she so deeply wanted to be missed be her original and temporary family says that she does have a hunger for love and acceptance 💔. I do hope that things turned around for her and her family somehow and that each of them got to live more emotionally fulfilling lives after this episode😢.

I have never known that any person can be so unaware of how her attitude and words are so off-putting, I do not know whether I need to feel sorry for her. It is just very sad because I can believe that her behaviours, mannerisms and habits is just leading to both herself and her family to be isolated and lonely.

So, i am obviously *waaaay* late here (I am German....let's just say that it took the algorithms a looong time), *and* i am only 12:30 minutes in, but i feel like i just *have* to comment on *how AMAZING* of a human being Mary Beth is. If only *all* parents had the heart, patience, and compassion that she does.....the world would be such a loving place.

Mary Beth deserves her own praise aside from Janet's. What an absolutely beautiful woman inside and out. I wish she would do parenting classes to teach parents how to raise such amazing, sweet, smart well rounded kids... and with so many in one home, it's amazing what she does and how she keeps a GREAT attitude. I feel like I could learn SO much from her! She made me want to be a much better parent!

The thing about the art spoke to me. My mom wasn't into my style of art either, but she was cool enough to at least be like "well, it's not my thing, and I don't get it, but I'm glad you found something you can dedicate yourself to". It's not a perfect reaction, but much better than shutting the kid out entirely and saying the art sucks, or is creepy, etc. I think it's what MaryBeth said: even if it doesn't speak to you personally and you don't get it, your job as a parent is to be behind your child and encourage them.

This episode should be used in medical school as a character study for the literal example of what a grade A classic narcissist looks like.....🙄 I mean, seriously, the mom from New York..ho-ly Crap...

What a delusional whack job! If I recall correctly, 2 of the kids are adopted? Why would someone like this have or adopt kids, other than an obvious need to feel loved. She doesn’t even realize how awkward she is. You can tell the difference by the way the kids greeted her… So glad MaryBeth and her husband have given such a living home to 7 adopted kids! What an amazing woman!!!

Lets be honest this is not either mother's real life. Notice they both have jobs listed, they aren't stay at home moms. Farmer lady is a doctor. The lazy mother is a chiro assistant. Its not like she is home 24/7 doing nothing like she is portrayed. Just the other wives cant do their jobs so they are doing their personal routine.
