We have one of these that we're setting up now. I like that you used the 2x6 pieces. Would it work better to screw from the metal to the wood, rather than countersinking from the wood to the metal? Is yours still standing and working? Any other advice?
@TrapperCreekOutdoors7 ай бұрын
The self tapping screws that came with the kit weren’t very long. Pretty sure counter sinking was our only option at the time. It’s still standing. We were careful to clear snow off it all winter. Our best advice is to take your time. The instructions were terrible (on our TMG model). And their support line staff were not helpful.

Please think about putting 1/2 inch hardware cloth (metal) around the bottom of the coop. About up 3ft high or so. Weasels, minks, stoats can really wreck havoc with chicken wire because of the bigger holes. Nice job with what you have done. If you are in a very cold area, your little chicken coop might not be good enough for bad weather. You might check out Carolina Coops videos, they are very knowledgeable about chickens and it is fun to see what they build. Congratulations on your fine build.

We use the Polaris glacier kit and there is a bit of interference when the plow is angled toward the end of its range on either side. We have found that it’s unnecessary to angle the plow too far in either direction to get the job done so it works well for us. Check out our instagram later today and we will show it on our stories.
