An agreeable part of the Bronx. A big asset is the proximity to Lehman College. Many concerts and salsa dance fests play there.

Yet, Riverdale is in The Bronx and is truly awesome. I grew up on 197th and Decatur. I stay in Riverdale when I visit NYC as my friend has an apt there. Right by Van Courtland Park and The Hudson. Extremely appealing area

Was crazy is I just left the Bronx a month and a half ago and I swear to you I'm watching this right now and the only thing I could think about is me growing up in the Bronx in 1987 88 89 when we was riding the top of that same train the red train with graffiti all over it that same area I used to ride the top of that train wow 😜😝 can you say nostalgia I'm 47 years old now that just bought me back to being the kid awesome

🤣😅 Yo as a New Yorker seeing 2 million heads riding our SUBWAY everyday. It's hilarious when I see this LA " Metro" with like 5 people getting on and 5 people getting off these trains. This looks like some apocalyptic last humans on earth type shit. I capitalized the word SUBWAY cause that's what we call it . Don't know about calling it a Metro 🤣 LA I love you probably my second favorite city behind my NYC. But stick to the freeway shit. Let NYC handle the "METRO business " 🤣😅

we also call it the subway but Metro is the term that includes the whole network, including light rail and heavy rail and busses

7:12 - 7:13 the fact that the catenary bridge there is the sole anchor bridge belonging solely to the NYW&B to be preserved (and that it is preserved at all), is IMO really neat.

What I enjoy about your posts is that in addition to telling me about the trains and subways of Los Angeles and New York, your videos also inform me about the people, places, and social dynamics of the cities that those trains operate in. The way you shoot your work makes me feel like I’m getting an informal cinematic lecture on the organization and aesthetics of modern urban space. You record how the residents of each city create a tapestry of visual language with architecture, signage, graffiti, landscape, and social performance that is unique to their city. Your work rolls it out for us as if we were viewing an ancient Chinese scroll. Incredibly intricate, beautiful, and relevant.
