Finally someone on KZbin who actually chops the sample. And actually makes peices it together right. Everybody else just uses auto chop and makes some corny ass dj premier 9th wonder beat.

@@dsmith3120 yeah, that’s correct. Turntable -> SP202 -> MPC. I sampled onto the SP202 first, then ran the sample into MPC3000. Thanks for checking it out! ✊🏿

It’s an effect iOS app (by MSXII sound design). It lets you add FX to a beat in real time. I was running both FlyTape and Koala inside the AUM audio mixer app.

I literally just had to deal with the bug right before watching this video lol. I remember version 3.52 was supposed to fix it but I have 3.54 and it still does it. I assume 3.52 didn’t fix it either. With that said, I love the machine. Sometimes I’ll route the Lofi processor to the outputs on a track like this.… I’m rambling now but I could go on and on about the MV! lol The groove, the chops, everything about this was dope bro!

i see you also have that sampling input bug where the unit changes inpur to coax. i tend to initialize the mv after that to reset it to aux. any upside to resolving this by loading a dummy program like you do?

Peace, thanks for the comment! Loading the dummy project is just the way that I learned how to get around the bug (my MV8800 has that glitch too). No specific benefit to that approach otherwise. How do you initialize the MV after that point to resolve the bug? I’m interested in learning that approach as well.

It’s awesome!! It’s an entire production studio in the box (sampling, sequencing, recording, mixing, mastering…). My theory is that all these features are why Roland didn’t incorporate the 8-output card as a stock feature for the sampler. The expectation may have been for each sound to come “into” the unit to be mixed/mastered. It can really do it all.
