the thing inside the first sqrt is 4, so x - sqrt(4) = 4, so x=6

Hi po sir, im not sure if your going to even read this pero I just want to say na maraming salamat po for posting this video. 2 weeks ago I only had 1 day to study for the final exam at diko talaga makaka comprehend ano yung sinasabi ng prof ko tungkol dito. Pero on my last few hours before taking the exam. Nakita ko yung bidyo na ito. And napaka clutch tagala kasi similar ang questions sa exam katulad ng mga examples mo. At dahil doon, nakapag 60/100 ako kahit 1 day lang ako nag aral. At for that reason, I barely pased my Caleng1. God bless you po for changing the lives of students here ❤. You earned my respect 🫡

Sir, can you clarify how to get r? I got really confused. Thanks
@mochamartin68693 жыл бұрын
I think your formula V= 2pi integral from a to b of rh dr is applicable only if the region is to be revolved about the x-axis or y-axis. the rhdr is not always true if to be revolved in general about x = c or y = d. Look at 5:42, your r = 8 - y and based on your formula dr = -dy and not dy. Better to have it dt rather than dr.

Apologies. At 29:58 , the equation of the line parallel to the tangent line is y = 2x + 1 (written in blue). The slope is still “m = 2” and will not change the process and the final answer.

I made a mistake at 10:23 , it was supposed to be y= x(4 - x^2) leading to y = x (2+x)(2-x), hence the correct answer will be different. But the general process is still the same. MY APOLOGIES.
