So boring to hear people reading out their "statements". Surely it has to stand on it's own without this interlocution? Even to professors, art lovers, critics, museum goers, etc. If you're going to talk about process, talk about it honestly in a conversation rather than this tiresome pitch to the academic art world. It really sounds like some kind of arcane theological posturing, like the famous pre-Reformation monks infamously postulating how many angels could fit on the head of a pin, or how many fish there were in Lake Geneva based on their particular interpretation of Church doctrine. In the end the proof of the pudding is in the eating: ask regular punters who haven't be _told_ by you how to interpret your work what they get out of it. All the participants here are clearly accomplished craftspersons, they're cognizant of and fascinated by process and it shows in their work, if you know how the pieces are made this becomes all the more apparent. But in the end it's still Rosie Zielinski's work that stands out (who not coincidentally had the least to say about it) because there's a relatable image at the end of it that isn't just about artists talking to themselves or other artists, but really does invite you into a place of reverie, where you can relate to those liminal introspective moments when you're captured by figuring out what you're looking at but also by a sense of time and place. I'm not really that interested in someone else's nicely printed brain scans, I've seen it all before.

I'm so glad that she/you became an artist. I knew your Dad for a few years and even created some fliers for his speaking engagements. I was also friends with Roy Tuckman from KPFK at the time. Such a rich legacy and now YOU step into the light. All bless
