@jerryshafer27942 жыл бұрын
sounds awesome, neat thing about manual trany and glasspacks.. When you shift after hitting the gas, it pops and snaps. Just the way I like it. Unlike my old 400 pontiac auto. Had 18 inch glasspacks on it, I had to rev and gun that bitch at idle to make it sound that mean.

What did you do in terms of transmission and driveshaft ?
@taykoh12493 жыл бұрын
Taykoh here from JTB’Z. He used a stock M5OD-R2 out of a 90s f150 pickup. We got it all mounted in and ready but he decided to sell the engine/trans due to a financial problem in life so we didn’t get to the finishing touches like drive shaft and such unfortunately. I believe we were gonna have to have a drive shaft made or shortened as he was gonna use a full size 8.8 rear end.

I’ve got a 1987 single cab Mazda b2200 I’m trying to swap a 4.3L vortec v6 into any tips?
@jtbzautomotive98524 жыл бұрын
In my honest opinion I wouldn't swap a 4.3 into anything unless you're gonna dump a lot of cash into it (this being Zach's opinion). They're pretty gutless from my experiences with them, they make the power of a 4 cylinder and get the gas mileage of a v8. Me personally i'd swap a turbo 4 cylinder or a v8 in it. But this isn't my project and here's what i can tell you of what i know. itll be easiest to get it running in the b2200 with a carburetor and an hei distributor but those are gonna cost some pennies, that would be the quickest and easiest way to swap in a 4.3, All of us over here at JTB'Z specialize in carbureted and tbi motors, we haven't gotten into electronic stuff...YET... Your wiring harness and such is gonna be the biggest problem unless you swap the entire harness and computer over to the mazda but still then you'll have to repin all the lights, gauges, etc. There's a lot of variables too, is it a stick shift or an auto, is a newer vortec or spider injection, your best friend will be the internet and wiring diagrams. The best advice i can give is don't give up on it, be persistent and eventually itll come together and youll have a one of a kind rig which is always worth it in the end.
heres the link to the motor mount setup that we used sorry for the long reply time !! thank you for watching !

I found your channel searching for Freedom Factory videos, think you'll have a good burnout truck there if you do it right, I wouldn't recommend a 5-speed though, you'll lose too much power between shifts to keep the burnout going... keep it simple, a mild V8 swap with a auto will get the job done, but if you get all fancy on building a motor, would recommend destroking a 400 you'll get some higher revs out of it. Now "for now" I'll go ahead and subscribe cuz I like to see where this build goes, this could really help kick off your Channel especially if you keep link to Cletus and the freedom Factory. "However" maybe I'm just getting old, but I was a bit put off by the language, if you want people to respect you and your might think about that, for the future, just my advice. I have Done several small block swaps in those S10 back in the day as they say, probably around the time you guys were born, LOL if you need any pointers I'll be glad to give them. Good luck on your build, and I'm not quite sure about the name, as far as I know jailbait typically refers to a young minor girl, LOL I think some words like The Hoosegow, or The Clink, Handcuffed, Resisting Arrest, Found Guilty, Parole Violator... I don't know something else would be better than, Jailbait haha
