So much better in her real voice! So much more emotion and realism. Why do they dub their own actors in China?

Its disgusting, pitiful, and kind of deranged of people to be unkind to actors, because of dislike for the characters that they play!

So well deserved. I first watched "Empresses In The Palace" some years ago on YT, but the posts ended before the series did. I later bought the shortened DVD series, which maintains the story despite not showing all episodes. But I was already a Jiang Xin fan long before "EITP". When will we ever get to see her in an international movie? Because she's not 'world class', she's a 'galaxy class' actress! 💖

I don't understand why just now people only recognise her. The drama already 7year already be on air.. this what we call only the most beautiful woman will be recognised immediately, but talented woman just like her very hard to get attention. Should be talented come first.

I think she means that Hailan saw the Emperor as any woman would view a man they were "married" to. She knew his affection would be ever changing as she had already experienced it. She could love him, want his touch, and not love him but respect him and fear him as the Emperor. Hailan loved Ruyi as a sister, a sister who would always be there despite the changes in the seasons. 😊

There were many wonderful things about the Qing dynasty but that harem ranking system wasn’t one of them. I doubt any of those Chinese emperors ever truly loved any of those women.

The Emperor didn’t love her and he loved someone else, is that his fault? Can we stop the emotions of love? She loved him so is that his fault? Cutting her hair was a curse to his Mother and himself, would anyone here tolerate a man or woman cursing your mothers? I feel sorry for her to love someone that doesn’t feel the same but in that type of relationship, isn’t that expected? He had many women that also gave birth to his children that he didn’t love, what makes her story different from theirs? She was indeed considered narrow minded in those times as that was the norm just like all women living in a polygamous relationship today in 2024 because it’s still legal in some cultures.
@oraclesofthemoirai4258Ай бұрын
this was beyond just love. This was political and simply the lack of respect. Emperors usually didnt marry their empress for love. Even if he didnt love her he disrespected her as empress and honestly who know what really happened because even historians are limited in thier knowledge. They can only go by what is written down. Even if he didnt love her he seemed to have been abusive. And during that time if he displaced her, she and her family would have been in ruined. Its WAY more than just "love" her livihood and the livlihood of her son and clan were at stake.
@Winter74575Ай бұрын
@@oraclesofthemoirai4258 you are contradicting yourself by saying not even historians knows everything that happened yet you’re saying based on your opinion that he was disrespectful, aren’t most people disrespectful, especially to people that they are not emotionally drawn to? Isn’t that a human trait for most humans. Isn’t fair to conclude that since he had no political gain with consort Ling proves he must’ve had some deep emotional affection for her? Unlike the step Empress who he clearly had a political gain from and is the person at topic here? You mentioned her son was at stake, so her only ambition was to have a child to become a king one day so she could continue to have the ultimate power of being a Empress Doweger, is that also true love on her part or is it lust for power? The point is The Emperor clearly Did not love her and the fact that she cursed him and his mother by cutting her hair is enough to prove that she wasn’t happy which as I’ve said is not the Emperors fault, The heart wants what the heart wants and he clearly followed his heart as he should. These women were a custom that he followed, it’s how things were, these girls families are also responsible as they willingly gave their teenage daughters up in exchange for power also. Let’s be grateful that our generation doesn’t have to live like how they lived, in order to create societies, sadly there were lots of severe sacrifices, although being in a harem must’ve been difficult, lots of girls that didn’t have that life actually experienced worse situations from men in those days also, so in fact for some, it was a dream compared to some others that had to sell their bodies just for a day’s meal because their families were so poor.

Only she could we a r those clothes again ❤ They deserve all the accolades for their performance. That long without breaks, too? The series is one of my favourites. It will tie with Empresses in the Palace forever. I am just awed by the team, all the Eunuchs and maids, the physicians, and EVERYONE. Wallace Huo made me HATE watching him in anything for a while, too. 😅 I've just rewatched the series for the 4th or 5th time, and it is really wonderful. I prefer that both the prequel and this series were based on the novels but had their own twists. It wasn't drawn out too long or too short. The length of it was perfectly right for the love that was between Ruyi and Hongli. Rongpei's slaps deserve an award on their own 😂

It's funny, because of all of the things that she does wrong, I do still feel bad for her. I feel like she was like that teen girl in school that just wanted to be liked by the popular girls and were willing to make herself look bad, not realising that she was being used. I feel like if she had gotten to have a child, maybe she would have been a bit better of a person. I just feel sympathy a bit for her, where I don't for some of the others.
@whatabother200124 күн бұрын
eh, she would be worse if she had a child. but she'd definitely be better with kinder friends, who don't use her as an attack dog and would reign her in if she gets too mean
@EnglishVirgoАй бұрын
I disagree with her that she was anything but a selfish, self centered b^tch. She was willing to take lives for her own gain. And to suggest that her children meant anything to her other than tools for her own glory. Come on, she pushed them and then punished them in ways that would eventually shorten their lives. She was horrendous! I like the actress, but I was happy to see her character lose her life.

@@12forceswillreunitetoopena77 Act of bravery? How? You curse someone and their parents for not loving you back? We can’t force someone to love us.
@12forceswillreunitetoopena77Ай бұрын
@@Winter74575 I stated it as act of bravery as of during those era women have always been oppressed by patriarchy; cutting her hair as a form of rebel is more respectful. Cutting hair represents mourning of emperor or Qing dynasty + also being the wife implies that it was meant to cut-off their relation/mourn for qing dynasty empress The actual history is destroyed by then emperor, so we don't know the original cause of cutting her hair, but that unknow cause must have hurt his ego as his reaction says it all... so this person saying the reason behind as she was jealous of a consort's love is invalid... So the love factor is completely baseless; even she was jealous being empress the controller of harem she could have taken cruel path
