Yes, this project works fine for very small 'products' and very, very thin materials. That weld on the bottom of those pins and including those pins' thickness themselves are ONLY for small materials. If you're looking at bending 3/8" rebar or thicker, this will break and bend those pins on the first attempt. I've made several of these 'benders' and you need deep penetration onto where the pins are being welded - period. Nice project overall for very light material.

Considering that you saved two hundred dollars off after tax dollars, you really saved $400 by doing it yourself. Plus you get to learn along the way. And the machine works with half of the labor force. That machine is now worth four times what you paid for it easily. Well done. 👍

If you use the puller and fingers for the wiggle wire, you need to use the center fingers or it pulls off much easier. I use the 2 middle, 4 middle or 6, You get the picture. Also your metal has crowns all over the place. I use the wiggle wire and strops to pull the center of the dent out while I tap down the crowns. If you leave it till the end to deal with the crowns, you will have so much pressure built up.

My Harbor Freight balancer is sitting in the shed this past 20 years because I couldn't get the damm thing to balance right. Use to do static balancing at a gas station during college. Thanks for sharing the moods to the tire changer and balancer.

Thanx for the A/C tips! Emma is a cutie, and her and Evan make a nice awkward teenage couple! LOL I don't like the new KZbin format. I like to see the comments. I care less about the recommendations.

I guess this has been out for a while but I just saw it. I have wrapped a ratchet strap around the tire on the treads and tightened it to spread the beads against the rim to inflate the tire . I enjoy seeing ‘cheap’ tools modified to perform much better! Please keep up the great work.
@igoski15823 күн бұрын
Too bad the manufacture of these don't realize the buying public would gladly spend the extra money for it if they would have included this design with the product. I want something that functionally works well over a cheaper price. Now I and everyone else has to spend the time and money for this modification for a good product, when we shouldn't have to.

Don’t use a death gage. Go to harbor freight and get a manifold gage set for a/c. And you may want to get a a/c system vacuum too. I use the compressed air one and it works well. Also in a/c school, we were taught to charge by a saturation chart so you don’t over charge the system. 95% of the a/c systems today, if over charged won’t cool, or draw the heat out
@glenns56274 күн бұрын
At least in Texas, you can "free rent" that manifold gauge set at O'Reilly's, i.e. the rental tools deal, where you can return it after you're done for the price of the sales tax. Likewise the A/C system evacuator, in case you had to crack open the system and replace something. Always amazes me that people don't know about this. On some older Fords, that "slow leak" was normal performance due to the type of connections used in the A/C system; perfectly normal / accepted to have to pop in a can every couple of years. I know the mid-'90's Crown Vics, for certain, and I think for awhile after that, on almost every Ford. I think they've been rid of those type connectors for awhile now, or at least improved them.

You did not find the leak, if the system is empty, it leaked out and will leak out again until the leak is fixed.

Guys keep in mind refrigerant isn't a consumable and if it's low, it's leaking. Find the leak, stop it, refill. Though sometimes you can top them off and be good for years.

Valve core out. Just put the female end of a airhose on the valve stim. And turn on the air. Pop. Sealed most the time. Unless you have thin tires on wide rims. If so Like i said. The areosal boom. Or a ton of grease. I have seen a soap used. That was like grease. But dont know where to get it. The one ive always got to work was the areosal boom with match. But its not for the faith if heart. Or the safest. I havent mounted tires in years. Make that decades. I hate doing it.
@IvanhoeWolfe-zn6fc5 күн бұрын
Things ive used to get tire on rim. Grease. Dish soap. Soap Soapy water. Those are ones I remember. Want real fun changing tires. 16.5 rims. Just a pick and crowbar. To air up. Aerosol can sprayed into tire. Then light a match and throw at it. Now. Im not saying to do any of that. But thats how we did it back when i was a teen.

Did anyone mention LUBE yet? 🤣 Any time you're using rubber, LUBE makes things better. DON'T USE PETROLEUM based products on natural rubber. Soap OR when mounting car tires in motorcycle rims (for mire mileage on rear wheels) KY Jelly works great. Car tire sizes are tighter then Mc wheel sizes. Petroleum products on natural rubbers, especially latex starts immediate degradation. Ask my surprised parents.
