If your tape does not come off easily, you can try warming it up with a hairdryer to soften the glue

Love it, thank you so much. The biggest I learned was the reminder I can use white gesso to dull down the blackness of the lines. Lately they've been bothering me a lot because when you do original colored penciled work black lines are the last thing you want. Thank you for the educational and informative video.

Great comprehensive video! And thanks for leaving the messy bits in. I think it is just as helpful to see what not to do and how tricky it is to work with new mediums. "Masking liquid should'nt be solid". That caused me so much stress less than two weeks ago lol. I was so mad when I thought that stuff had already gone bad because it was pretty much solid. And I had used it maybe 3 times. Thankfully shaking solved the issue.

Thanks a lot for this video. So many options for all levels. And for me at least, the errors are as valuable as the perfect backgrounds.

Lovely video! For the Oil pastels, the finger blend.. would it work with some type of silicone tool? The masking fluid is going to rip the paper even if it's dry.. it's not meant for paper like the coloring books, it's more meant for thougher paper liker watercolor paper

Thanks Emma this was a great comprehensive video. I’d love to see what of these options you suggest specifically for Amazon print paper. I have so many Amazon books that I need to work in because the images are lovely and worthy of being colored but the paper is so hard to work on sometimes. Like masking fluid would never work on Amazon paper I wouldn’t think. So what do you do if you’re doing an Amazon paper book?

Hi Emma! I have also a nice husband who spoils me terribly. He bought me the Caran D’ache luminance pencils in the wooden box 😮 and the next birthday the Caran D’ache pastel pencils. He also bought me Lego projects now and than….he is amazing! Beautifull coloring in this amazing book! I have this book also but did not have the courage to colour in it….

Getting rid of two entire shelves of books is a huge achievement, congrats! Rofl, "shaving off my eyebrows" sounds like a good umbrella term for getting out of a slump and taking care of oneself again :D Finding well-fitted Bras make a world of difference. I usually buy the smallest A I can find, and they are too big most of the time. One day I went to a proper store because they had a spectacular set of lingerie in the window (wich wasn't available in my size, of course) and the lady told me "I'm ging to get some C and maybe a D cup to try" and I thought "Lady, are you DRUNK?? I can fit both of the girls in a single D cup!". Go figure, I walked out of that store with a perfectly fitting C cup bra (and a hole in my wallet. Worth it, though)! That bra is now pretty high on the list of things to save in a house fire lol. I should add that bra sizes vary in different countries, so this propably doesn't make a lot of of sense to most people 😅

ps yes i will watch a colour along even if i dont join in as i find different colourists have different techniques I can learn from. Sometimes its because I dont have the book yet, Or finding out if I want the book. Just watching this I have already had to order a book . I know what you mean about not enough hours in the day to partake of all my hobbies. As well as colouring i play the bass guitar and do martial arts. As for gaming, there is only one game that I can sit and play the whole story through time and time again ( and have done so, in fact am coming towards the end of the story now ) is a vintage classic dont know if you know of it or have played it at all?. It is Harvest Moon A wonderful life on the game cube. Im aware of the updated version on switch and am considering getting a 2nd hand one . But just love HM AWL, sorry to have deviated there for A bit.

Loving your answers to the questions and your down to earth attitude. I started with the Brutfuners in a plastic tray, tried a few Prismas that were too soft and gooey for me, liked the original Arteza's but the second batch I got just fell to pieces so got a refund and invested that in a set of 60 Polys. I now have the full set of Polys and loads of backups that I get when they are 3 for the price of 2. Love to hear you talking about all your favourite supplies and artists.
