Do whatever works best for you regarding your channels. I came across your diamond painting channel and had subscribed for a while before I realised you had a colouring channel too. I do many hobbies and even if I don’t do a particular one that you do, I do like watching anyway. This was really relaxing watching/listening to in the background. I love hearing people talking about their color pencil collections and their thoughts on them! I'm not very fond of the Castle Arts brand because they just seem very expensive for the quality, which is sad because I love the name "castle arts" 😭 Their pastel pencil tin is also so pretty, but I can't justify buying a set for a TIN of all things... I've always been interested in the black widow pencils, but I always got confused what each of their sets mean and they don't have an option to buy them all together, so I was put off by that. I probably bought the cheapest pastel color pencils out there from an American retail store called Five Below. They were a set of 45 pastels for $5 and they were... well you get what you pay for, but I really liked the colors and they seem like they'd go nicely with my crayola color pencils, so I'm happy with them. When I'm finished with them, I'm really interested in the Brutfuner Macaron set, but again only until after I finish up the pastels I do have or else I'll have no space for them

The brutfuner macaroni are a nice pencil they are pastel colours not actually pastels though.....yes I love watching people's colour pencil collections too just to see how people find their pencils can be fascinating.....and I am definitely a pencil fanatic lol

Thx for this video. May I ask, how do they compare to the Mungyo. I have a set of Mungyo and I love them. They are soooo full of pigment, and not too soft, but not too hard. I want to buy an inexpensive brand but with full sticks and I saw these Artecho at Amazon. Since you already know the feel of the Mungyos, could you tell me how do they compare?

Hi Emma, i have a craft room but to be honest i never sit there except when i do a big diamond painting. I have to cat’s and that can be a bit tricky….. when you come into my livingroom you see a messive diningtable 2.40 meter x 1 meter with 6 big chairs, 2 ipads in the middle and a open bookcase aside with all my coloring stuff in it. Yes! Immediately you see, someone has a big hobby! To be honest no one sad something about it, maybe they think i am a weirdo, but i really don’t care anymore…. I am to old for that 😆😆

I totally agree about how judgy people are with what you do in your spare time, my moto is "Do what makes you happy life's too short" I've had those looks screw em lol. Thanks for the swatching demo Emma,some nice colours in the brush markers,also some nice colours in the glitter gel pens too, but as I find with most brands of glitter pens they are often irregular in their performance which I find very frustrating,especially half way through a picture. ☺

It was very interesting seeing what your favourite artists and books are, thank you : ) I love the Morgan OBrien Matchstick Mouse books too and I am so utterly bummed that his The Way Home became out of print before I could buy it. I know you can download pdf's but like you, I really only like colouring in books and don't want lots of messy, work looking folders cluttering up my bookshelves!! I am really fussy on artist style, I can only colour if I love it. I do have a top 10 fave books on my instagram page, but among my favourite artists, it would have to be Kerby Rosanes, Nicholas Filbert, Kanoko Egusa and Ken Matsuda. I do love a bordered page too!

I loved it Emma. I was swatching my watercolours into a book while watching. I've had a shite week which included 2 days and nights in hospital after an horrendous nose bleed. So I am having a weekend of total zero responsibilities. I'm colouring, reading, embroidering and that's it! I don't have any paint pens. Gosh aren't I good. Trying to avoid that rabbit hole as I'm on a very strong no buy stint. At the start of the year I bought some King Art Gel Crayons. I haven't got a clue how to use them. I need to accept the I'm a pencil and paint girl and leave it at that. I do enjoy using the kiddies clay crayons in colouring books. They are so small to hold that I stick to small format books. But I think they do a good job. I don't have any Crayola wax crayons to compare with. I did a picture recently with them in the Fur Balls book. Came out great. My little room is tiny. And it's stuffed. No room for more. Although there'd be a little more room if I could find somewhere else to store my sewing machine. Have fun. It doesn't matter what you do or how much stuff you have, just love and appreciate it all and have fun.

@@emmacolours2020 And then, the night I wrote the above to you, it happened all over again. More very painful nasal packing, had to get my neighbour to drive us to A&E because my husband had had a drink getting dinner ready. Transferred from the A&E near us to Oxford hospital and finally admitted to a ward again at 5:40 am. 3 more days in hospital. A camera up inside my head but they could not see where it was coming from or any sign of damage. They filled my nose with something described as spray foam for the nose and pushed bits of white foam that looked just like magic eraser in with it and sent me home. It's slowly dissolving and blocking me up spectacularly. I feel like I have a horrible cold. Can't sleep and my anxiety is sky high because they didn't find anything to fix! If it happens again I'm supposed to just get to Oxford (1.5 hours on a good run) bleeding into a bowl. They will then have to stop it and when it's safe to do so, knock me out and look much further back in my head in the operating theatre. I am hoping against hope it never happens again. It was so frightening. I did get my husband to bring in Fur Balls and my polychromes pencils for the second stay and I entertained myself with it. Several young nurses came to have a look and were impressed, which was nice. And one male doctor commented on how nice the pencil set was in it's case.
