powering it for the first time LED status: “Green + 1 Blink”, and if I connected its wifi all I saw: “Please wait while the server is starting up. Do not unplug your Q-Server.” according your manual "this can take up to 5 minutes" after 1 hour, still nothing changed, so I pressed the reset for 10 sec. another 1 hour passed, and the led status is still “Red - Solid” If I connect the QuantumSetup wifi, the same text appears: “Please wait while the server is starting up. Do not unplug your Q-Server.” pls help

A little safer with relay- instead of hooking one end of black (hot ) wire to Common, and the other to Normally Open- specify which end of the black wire to which- if you put the plug end to the Common, that leaves the Normally Closed part of relay with outlet current exposed when its plugged in. Better to specify to put plug end of black wire to Normally Open, and jack end of black wire to Common. So, when off, live voltage only at the one terminal. When the controller calls for the jack to be on, the Common and Normally Open will connect the 2 black wire ends together.

A confused newbie: I followed the 1st part where you wired up the LED. But when you got to the 2nd part of wiring the button, you started with a 2nd empty breadboard. I ordered your Starter bundle, which came with only ONE breadboard. Was I supposed to receive 2 breadboards? I'm going to share my one breadboard between the 2 client bases, I'm sure it will do the trick (will ONLY share grounds, not positive voltages). BUT you might want to point this out in the video. Also, why not start off these beginner videos by explaining how the breadboards function - it's really important that novices understand the arrangement of the pins. It's somewhat obvious that the red and blue lines along outer edges (long sides) are for distributing power (plus and minus voltages from client bases). BUT I'll bet many initially don't know that the two rows of pins (one set labeled a-e, other f-j) are connected together to facilitate wiring of components (which normally will be inserted so as to straddle the long divider notch that runs lengthwise in middle of board). A total newbie could easily short something out without this knowledge... Update: seems as though the breadboard that came with Starter Bundle has two sets of isolated power bars. So can use one side's plus and minus bars with one Client Base, other set of plus and minus for a second Client Base. So the one included breadboard effectively can work as two :) Hopefully this is documented somewhere and I just missed it...

Thanks for the feedback Mike. This video is intended to be a hello world for the Quantum Platform, not for electronics as a whole. Maybe we'll create a video on how to use breadboards as well. You do bring up a good point about the video using two half size breadboards while the component kit provides only one large one. This is because this video was created long before we started offering our component kit. We definitely can see how this can be confusing for complete novices. We'll look into how to make this less confusing for our users. -Martin and the Quantum Integration team

I try it, but it doesn't work. How should the prefix of the number be indicated?
@QuantumIntegration
@QuantumIntegration 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. It should be country code+area code+main phone number. You do not need the country code if your twilio phone number has the same country code as the receiving phone number. After you activate the Twilio service on your Q-Server you can download the Twilio demo app in the library section to test whether the issue is in your application or the initial configuration of the Twilio number. If you still have issues feel free to email us at [email protected] and we'll help you out. Here is our documentation on the Twilio setup as well to help you: quantumintegrate.atlassian.net/l/c/a1aFEBRk

I'm going to ask the same question to Quantum, as I do to many of those these days that create development systems.... IS this going to be the case where software will ONLY be supporting mobile phone projects? - or can PC Supported ( as in full sized 1920x1080 ) .exe projects can be published. I'm sick of the lack of support for PC users that can ONLY make APK applications to go with their hardware projects & believe that anybody that recognizes that PC users need to be able to create projects that can run from a PC will be well placed in this hobby market.
@QuantumIntegration
@QuantumIntegration 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rick. Great question. It is not just for mobile phones. Our product is a combination of software and hardware that you connect to by typing in its IP address in any web browser on any smart device. There is definitely no lack of support for PC users. With our platform you use your PC to create the applications and upload firmware but you have the ability to control your projects from any smart device that can connect to your Q-servers IP address. I hope that answers your question. I suggest checking out the projects we showcase on our KZbin channels to fully understand how our platform works and how versatile it is.

@QuantumIntegration
@QuantumIntegration 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! The cost is set to that number because you must purchase the stl files for the 3d printed portions from Youbionic, who designed the hand. That takes up a majority of the price that we listed. The rest of the components are generic and can be purchased for very cheap.

How would you package this to make this useful in a real world application? Problem is the builder base is too big for incorporating into a simple magnetic contact switch.
@QuantumIntegration
@QuantumIntegration 3 жыл бұрын
That's true if it's just one door contact. Just from the top of my head you could add more components to the same builder base that would control the door contact, motorized shades for windows, actual motors to open and close the windows, electric locks for a door, a variety of other components, and our built in integration services with other IoT products. There's quite a lot of ways you can package it to fully utilize the Builder Base so it's not just for a simple door contact. Our Builder Base has a detachable case that could also help you make it more discreet if need be.

Nice video. A bit long though. Could you just assign the actions to the buttons directly rather than having them selectable from dropdowns. That would have made it less complicated and a bit shorter.
@QuantumIntegration
@QuantumIntegration 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! We definitely understand that it's a bit time consuming and can be confusing. However, the dropdown objects are used to index the IR codes on the IR service object for you to assign to the specific button so you can't configure the actions straight from the button unfortunately. You could index the IR codes straight from in ports of the dropdown object in the application builder if you already know the information but I wouldn't consider that being more time effective. Also, you only have to configure the actions with the dropdowns once and then you're good to go.
