It's because successful traders must constantly do things that are very uncomfortable for human beings to do including 1) taking losses 2) going contrarian 3) going with the trend 4) being disciplined

i think , once u understand how to analysis, how market work and all, the only things difficult is to fight against yourself, some have very strong mind and never trade outside of there rules, and some do

Yeh I worked at a well known cfd company for years and even the old market professionals blew up their accounts. The only ones that won ended up in criminal fraud cases or asic cases for insider trading!

I work for a well known brokerage, the 80-90% of retail traders losing money is nonsense. The true figure is closer to 98% over the long term and it's all due to mentality not charting or lack of knowledge with technicals etc..

Really nice video, i would love to ask : what do think of AI these days i feel it is somehow think like a real human (unlike the robotic trading these days) do u think one day we won't be able to compete with AI?

Good question - that's probably a whole new video! I suppose if someone uses pattern recognition for trading that is definitely somethign that could be learnt by AI and perhaps refined as time goes by. Will be interesting to see how it all develops.

Problem with longer term trades is carry fees eat all your profits on most leveraged platforms, been my experience.

Hi David, I think it depends how logn you hold. It has definitely got mroe expensive in recent years with interets rates going up, but for me, for trades of 3 months or less, it still can make sense. Although in some markets like e.g. Nat Gas it can get quite costly. Thanks for the comment.

The key is also how to discern what is a good source and what is not a good source, so looking at successful traders is better than all these KZbin "gurus" making money on nonsense. Of course, easier to figure out when you yourself have experience! My goal is to enroll in a course once I can cough up the dough!

Hi, yes there was leverage on that trade. I can't remember it to be hoenst without watching back! The most important thing for me is the level of risk per trade.

Hi, it does have an impact. So I wouldn't use leveraged trading for really long term stuff but for anything up to a couple of motnhs or so is normally fine. Was much more cost effective of coruse when rates were near zero!

It's a zero sum game .. for someone to win a pound someone has to lose a pound... you have to beat your losing trades and your brokers spread ... most the software out there doesn't even show orderflow .. your better off bet trading get on betfair with bet angel software at least you stand a better chance or should I say you have a fair crack at winning ..
