The brain thing you mentioned is an issue for me as well. My wife would be the first to agree. Your presentation however was flawless on this one. The vertigo sampler from 1985 is a must seek for me. I did indeed pause and checked it out on discogs and it can be had for about thirty bucks. Anything Kurt Vile is gold for me. I don’t recognize that album cover so will need ensure it’s on my list. Great entry… posting mine shortly.

It’s really excellent, but you know this. “I wonder if MGK has this” 😊…that Two Tone thing looks cool. Nettwerk was a cool label. I even have a 12” single by Moev. Hey Brian, was just checking back through your back catalogue. Interesting story, I hope this all came out good. My mother had something like this a couple years ago and had a pretty major procedure which came out ok. The one other conspicuous mention of cancer I can think of is in the Pink Floyd song 'Dogs'.

I'm feeling kind of sad bastardy as I have most of those records. I just realized that "My Old Friend The Blues" is on Sunshine On Leith but I had forgot as I haven't played that album in a while. I actually have this one mapped out, I just haven't got to it yet. I wanted to do that Petty ranking for several weeks now, so I just had to fit it in there. My wife used to say that Cohen was sad bastard music, but now she loves most of his music. See, play it enough and they'll come to appreciate it. I haven't heard of the Emily Haines album, but it seems to be something I would like. I have this thing were depressing lyrics have a way of making me feel better, probably because it make my life seem brighter than what it could be maybe. It's like Porcupine Tree or Steven Wilson, I never realized his lyrics were that dark until someone said they were too depressing. Plus Wilson says that a song doesn't have to be loud to be evil. I've paid more attention to his lyrics, and they are very depressing. More joy for me I guess. Oh, Thanks for stealing La Bamba from me, I'll come up with something else. I love that "& Yet & Yet" album too, I don't have the vinyl, but I do have the CD/digital versions. When ever I see a crowd at a concert swishing their hands back and forth in the air, I think if only we could find a way to put dirty windows in front of them, give them a towel and viola, all of our dirty windows would be washed. Sorry, that's stupid, but I can't help having that visual every time LOL. Great response!
