Why not include the French horn melody(especially) and the six-tuplet figure as two of the main components of the 1st movement?

If you love animals, stop supporting zoos. Their enclosures are usually tiny and barely resemble their natural habitats, and they consume resources like farmed crops or slaughtered animal meat. Support reserves and tours so that you can go to their habitat to see them.

Please let this be a singular installment of a more elongated series. Someone loves and knows of Wagner as much as I? Paradise. More. More. More.

These animals are locked in little spaces they belong in their own habitats.

That little cage is obscene. Where are the open spaces and branches they need? They belong in the wild or at least in a sanctuary where they can have room.

I love many forms of music; rock, folk, country, classical. The overtures & preludes of the Ring touch me like no other music, so much, that I feel it was written for me, and it belongs to me & me alone. If I were to be stranded on a desert island, the Ring Without Words would be all I needed.

As a kid I tried seeing if plants grew faster when accompanied by music (classical) and they very definitely did. This is a well known experiment you can do. We contemplated if playing rock music wouldn't work as well but I don't recall trying it. Maybe someone else knows. But so even plants respond positively in their own way to music.

From the giraffes' point of view: I hear noise. Noise means people. People bring me food. You have food?

The giraffes think it so cute when the human animals come by and do interesting things. Then they talk endlessly about those things the humans do to get their attention.

Thank you. That was outstanding. Your reference to the Rondo Burlesque as a tour-de-force of negativity reminded me of a comment made by Richard Osborne in his 1979 Gramophone review of the Karajan's 9th, "a searing indictment of worldly folly." I hope to get to Colorado someday to watch you listen to your marvelous orchestra.

This could be a new form of work for musicians. Professional music players for zoo animals. They have 2 play in front of and for the animals during human visiting hours. Move from pen to pen so the humans can watch even those vile snakes react 2 music. This way even children viewing the animals get exposed to complicated intellectual music as opposed to that damned acid rock that even kills plant life. Seriously, people need jobs more than ever. Why not pay musicians to learn and play 4 the animals? Now all livings beings and plants can be happy.!!!!! Think about it.....think about it.......

Sarah brings a smile to my face every time I see her, such an angelic talent. If you like Sarah at Red Rocks, check out Elephant Revival singing White Rabbit at Red Rocks. I swear Bonnie Paine, the lead singer, is Sarah’s twin. 😀

This video sums it all up for me. As much as I'd like to avoid offending @TheColoradoSymphony or Peter himself, it seems they need a change in direction. Looking at the upcoming season of ultra conservative classics and pops, it might be too late (although I do hope the Latin Beats: Sonidos de las Américas concert lives up to its potential). You'd think the presence of Anne Akiko Myers, Yuja Wang, Itzhak Perlman, Augustin Hadelich and Mel Brooks would spice things up; their programs appear conservative as well. Please feel free to prove me wrong in the future.
