I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Believe me, you’re not the only one who’s encountered racism. I have a 34 year old friend from Norway who’s of Pakistani descent who’s been rejected in every job interview because of his race. That is tragic.

Sorry you experienced this Tim. 😢 Racism is fueled by ignorance, low self esteem, low IQ and even lower EQ. The host is a coward for giving into racism. Dump the friendship! We need to stand and speak out against racism (no matter how casual) and xenophobia whenever or wherever it happens. And for all those ppl at the party who chose silence, one of my fav MLK quotes: “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Peace.

Immigrants have it even worse. They talk about them with no respect at all. The way my workplace talked about Chinese people during the Covid situation. I can’t wait to leave when I finish my education. They NEVER stand against racism even the nicest people I know
