@chicoadv I rode into Bolivia via Puno, then went to Brazil and now I’m in the Netherlands for a family visit. November I will first ride in Portugal and in December I’m going back to Brazil to finish the loop back to Colombia.

@@veiledallegory woohoo you’re my first negative comment! 🎉 you know what’s ridiculous? Never doing anything because you’re afraid ;-). I’m going on a solo trip because for me that’s the ultimate adventure. I know how to ride very well. I speak the language. I have a positive mindset. That’s all you need. If anything were to happen and I can’t fix it: I Leave the bike, walk to the next person I see and ask for help. That’s it. “And if there’s no one around?” - you walk a little further. It’s simple, not saying that’s easy. For me, THIS is all part of the adventure. A trip where everything goes as planned and where all the risks are taken out is super boring (for me, as I like the thrill. For others, that would be amazing, we’re all different). But don’t overcomplicate or tell people they can’t do this if they have no knowledge - it’s really not that important ;-) 18.000 KM’s (11.184 miles) in, and I’m still alive. 😉

Great plans you have 😎 I was backpacking Central America first and when I reached Colombia I volunteered a while at Donkey Sunrise, a Moto adv hub and guesthouse, where I met so many amazing Moto travelers. That made me buy a bike there to continue my travels on a motorcycle. Colombia and chili are the 2 countries in South America where the process of buying a bike is very smooth. Donkey Sunrise helpt me with buying the motorcycle. It took 1,5 week all together more or less. Definitely recommend going there as they know everything about riding in Colombia and give you the most amazing routes. (Www.donkeysunrise.com). I really try to post content more regularly, but I never want it to get in the way of my travels or adventures. Bare with me! Haha. Some gas station don’t allow you to fill up in your bike, but do allow to fill up in a container. A lot of travelers give updates in the app iOverlander. But the main thing is to keep your eyes open for signs and/or ask around the locals - they always pointed me into directions that I otherwise shouldn’t know. Cheers! And thanks for watching!!
