How do you remaster ur tape footage?? are you using something to convert it from tape or just firewire?

Chicago native here, moved to Australia when I was still pretty young. Didn't get to visit family or the city for four years because of covid, and then for a while longer after that because of financials. When I did finally get to go back and visit, It was really tough for me to realise that I was nothing like the person I was when I left, but that the city was still my home, and that it hadn't changed, even if I had. Take the man out of the city, not the city out the man I suppose. Beautiful video, it really captures the bittersweet nostalgia I feel when I look back at my time in the city. Hoping to move back one day for college.

did you get your bloom effect in post, or did you use a mist filter of some sorts? i have an xl1, a dvx100b, and a pd150 and tons of tapes. ive been really into using these cameras recently and seeing your work pushes me to do the same.

However, I haven't really trusted sellers in my country because (which is Brazil) they're very thieves. Do you know of any site where I can purchase one? (even if I face tax from my damn country)

Ive been seeing alot of these lenses have a "Chromatic Arboration" problem but this video is fine. In fact the image in 4k looks sensational. RED must of had a problem with production where alot had the issue and some didn't smh

Beautiful Footage and beautiful color grading. It is so impressive on how much quality of footage you get with an old camcorder. If I were to be told that this was shot on a higher end digital camera or Super16, I would think so as well. Wonderful work man!

Hey Mike, hope all is well! I still kinda feel like the 3ccd footage is cinematic but is it true that youtube etc promote 4k videos more based on the algorithm than hd videos? I have a B4 Zeiss elite lens (i think the zeiss digiprime competitor. 200lp/mm resolving power vs zeiss prob better 250lp/mm. I also have a B4 to PL converter to Super 16 (0.8 light loss). Looking at cameras, but which one is best? I can pair it with F900R, HPX3700, Helium 8K (cropped sensor mode, ursa mini pro 12K OLFP (super 16 4k & super 16 6K), or a sigma fp L (1:1 zoom in crop), between Red Helium 8K sensor vs Ursa mini pro 12K and real big differences besides the ready having more dynamic range? is any of these cameras the best in terms of handling or dependability? thanks as always and wonderful week ahead!
