Thanks for the video! The only thing that would've made it better would be to derive the x-even and x-odd formulas.

"Actually, let me redraw that because that is just aesthetically unacceptable". I love your off-the-cuff comments, and how you keep your presence of mind while you teach. These videos are very helpful, thank you for posting them.

I do math for recreation often and these videos have helped my understanding so much, starting with the one about the convolution of two box functions being a triangle function. Thanks so much!

When we gain current i for 4times, we get T(torque). After which we need block T/I(inertia) and after which we get acceleration which we integrate and get speed w.

If you don't want to anger mathematicians you can just write [x*h](t), implying that to compute the result of the convolution at time t you have to use the entire signal x and the entire impulse response h.

Helping my daughter with some HW. I never cease to be amazed how little school taught me vs how much I had to learn on my own. I've learned way more on KZbin University then from "most" of my professors in school. The one thing I have learned is not everyone was meant to teach and most teachers should do something else. Teaching is the highest form of communicating an idea to someone else. 13 years ago and your video has relevance to me - Thank you sir.

uugh! I took a System Dynamics course and block diagrams jumped straight into the use of negative feedback and laplace transforms only. And that's natural after all, because control is all about constraint, and that's what negative feedback loops actually do. But then I started on my own doing MIT OCW 6.003 "Signals and Systems" to understand better how programs like MATALB might actually be doing the work and stuff and wow does that book (Oppenheim, et al 1996) waffle around in its examples. Impossible to follow. Diagrams nowhere near the text talking about them, going back and forth between the example and tangents. There's a 2016 book, which is less problematic, but the structure is different, and just assumes students already know things like z-transform? Your playlist here is a big help, especially this part where the convolution section is the worst section ever.
