West Yorkshire posted on this incident the day it happened so I drove down to the site. Same goes for the Make Pumps 12 in Armley which I attended as well as various other incidents in West Yorkshire North Yorkshire & Greater Manchester of which I will wait until there’s a report on the job

@@davidthornton9214 Neither! I mean it went from 7 bays to 2, weather they anticipate no longer needing an ALP at the station in the near future I don’t know!

@yorkshire9998 and I think it was possibly designed before they decided to go with the CLM vehicles too. I remember it, 2 pumps, aerial and an ET.

@@davidthornton9214 Yeah well I’m not too sure on before the CLM program but it wasn’t decided for 3 vehicles! It used to be alright with the carp as it was long enough for both vehicles! However the ALP has a considerably longer wheel base than the CARP did

Broski I heard em messing around with sirens the other day and I think the “bullhorn” I heard the other day was probably an air horn. I saw that truck the other day it’s quite nice especially in person

As I’ve told you before - none of our appliances have bullhorn! So most likely it was either the standard horn on the appliance or the air horn you heard. The airhorn isn’t typically used too much when enroute to jobs either

Thanks for uploading. Don't like the new Station always loved the old Dewsbury Station. With the POD there!!! Once went with my dad to pick up.his Car after our holidays. Station was completely empty. Dad was annoyed that they left all the bay doors open. Wasn't even his Divison was SDO for Wakefield at the time. But lived in Dewsbury

Would’ve been the case for Fire Officers using an older model maybe 5-10 years ago! However West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service operate a unique scheme where the Watch Manager rides separate to the pump in a Toyota Hilux! So from now on training will be more tailored towards Watch Managers rather than Station Managers due to the lack of need for another training session when the WM goes upto SM
