POIS can be linked to the overall increase in the prostaglandins secretion in the body associated with orgasms. The patho physiology of POIS goes beyond the prostaglandins. The role of Serotonin can’t be underestimated too. Think about “menstrual migraine” and try to correlate it with POIS. A lot to be researched and studied to understand POIS. This will include the role of Prostaglandins, Neurotransmitters and various hormones (including DHEA, Cortisol, Testosterone etc etc etc).

I’ve had it since puberty-only realized I got POIS by abstaining and when breaking abstinence I noticed the difference. My symptoms are-brainfog, tiredness, slower movement, less stamina-big difference in POIS and out of it.

How did you come up with this theory. I have dealt with this for years. I found some minor relief with niacin immediately after and with the steroid dexamethasone.

NSAIDs are preferable. We can’t ignore the role of prostaglandins in the patho physiology of POIS.

Swampy-YT I have been suffering for the past 8 years..I went to internal medicine doctor.. endocrinologist...then psychiatrist.. nothing worked..I abstain from ejaculation as much as I can.. mostly twice a month...it takes me 4 days to feel normal afterwards.. in those days I lose focus.. become lazy and depressed..god help all those who are suffering..
