Her name was Irene or Irena through Cubaoutings! She was good, knew a lot about the history and was willing to drive us anywhere we would like to go! It was $100usd a person including pick up from the hotel.

I don’t think you need to pay for a financial advisor, you’re still young and not at a substantial amount yet so just throw your investment into a low cost index fund and forget it. 80% of investment firms can’t even beat the index year over year so not worth it to pay someone 1% AUM. Hope this helps!

Congratulations!! Great accomplishment... Word of advice.... a 1% management fee is something you might want to reconsider, as that can reduce your portfolio by hundreds of thousands of dollars over your investment lifetime. . Also, a percentage based financial advisor is somewhat risky, as they aren't always the most honest individuals. It sounds like you are being very trusting and I highly recommend you self educate yourself on investing. Also, you may want to see what the fees are for the funds that this person has placed your money in, which could mean you are paying a lot more than 1%! You can invest yourself in an index fund with Vanguard or Fidelity for like .035% fee and cut out this middle person, and you can figure that out in 1 day of research on the internet.

Did you stay for a week and you said you loved this resort did you continue to like it and what would be any tips on staying there. We are booked there for December.

Yes we stayed for a week! We loved it! The food was amazing. We preferred a room on the first floor because it was closer. If you tip the servers well on the first day, they will give you great service by the pool, bringing you snacks/ drinks all day. Ask the workers what other beaches to visit by foot because there were some gorgeous beaches we walked to to try somewhere new. Have fun!

Went on the same ship 4 days ago, and I saw her a few times, night life was fun, lots of parties (that were quickly over ran by large groups of Spanish travelers that quickly turned a rather entertaining party with a wide variety of songs to just a few Spanish night club twerking songs)
