I fell in love with it and telling myself why I didn't take it out a long time ago. It hit dead on at 150 yard at steel plate. I was so impressed. I do have ak47 and sks. Ptr 32 is 10 times better

If only PTR could fix the mag and realiability issues. Its certainly a fine platform. And they definitely need to release the 93 version in 5.56. Why no "bolt hold open" feature? Can the engineers not figure that out? As an Army vet, i appreciate the "hold open/button mag release/new mag insert" procedure, its certinly much faster.

Bolt hold open would take just as long considering the charging handle doesn't reciprocate.

If you like the 930, you'll cream your pants with the 940. Here's a technical tip; use 1000 grit (that's one thousand grit) sandpaper a "polish" the outside of the magazine tube to a mirror finish. Then wipe it with silicone spray. It'll run the lowest base , lightest loads you can find.

Awesome gun, great shooting. Love the concept of this rifle, would love one in a small barrel configuration but thebissues I'm hearing of the 762 on the roller delay system is concerning and I have heard issues of guns breaking roller popping and various issues. The weight issue is a concern too, nit because it's merely heavy but because the gun is so unwieldy and bulky. I would have to get one in the hk 53 or 33 config, and a little 8 or 10 inch barrel really 10 inch is all you need to fully take advantage of the 762 cartridge, with a 23 inch barrel kind of being a little to muc u but still the second best option. The great part of the 862 is that you can use the 762 cartridge to dull effectiveness with such a small barrel because the gun powder is burned so fast on the round, so taking advantage of this andnhsving a light compact gun is my whole agenda since I love the 762 round and it's easier to come across for now than 300 blk. So getting a bulky hk 91 base hk per 32 is just kind of counter productive, even thought I just fkj love the concept and lokm of it. I'm trying to get anything outside kf aks that chamber 762 and this has so much potentual
@projectredbeard21994 ай бұрын
@Mithradates_of_Los_Angeles I think most of the issues were worked out in the first gen. As far as popping rollers that happens really on all the roller delayed blowback guns at some point really. But I see what youbare saying about a shorter barrel. Mine is 18" I believe but it's just so accurate.
@dbmail5454 ай бұрын
I have one and I don't think it's better than an AK at all. More magazine and and ammunition sensitive than any AK I've ever run as well as heavier. Fun gun but it's obvious why the Finns stuck with their Valmets instead of going with these.
@projectredbeard21994 ай бұрын
@dbmail545 Mine hasn't been ammo sensitive at all. Accuracy wise, at range, it is far superior to the AK. Heavy? In a way. I now have it configured as a true DMR and it works that niche very nicely. The AK does have its advantages don't get me wrong.

Decent video.If you change the way you grip the gun you might shoot better. I have never seen anyone grip the front of the trigger guard.It surely is a bad habit. My advise is taking a NRA handgun class
@projectredbeard21995 ай бұрын
@jeffkandle6176 hooking the trigger guard with your off hand allows you to really vise down on the gun pretty much, eliminating any muzzle flip. Don't knock it till you try it.
@jeffkandle61765 ай бұрын
@projectredbeard2199 I showed your video to a NRA instructor and he said he would never recommend people grip any gun like that. He always checks each students grip before they fire the first shot. So if a NRA instructor says it's wrong that has 30 + years then it's wrong.
@projectredbeard21994 ай бұрын
@jeffkandle6176 Well, that's fine. To each their own. If fast follow-up shots aren't your thing, then so be it. But an active recoil management grip is quite effective.

I have one that was just bought about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, I did not research the firearm before buying. I actually went in to look at Glocks, but the 320 just seemed to fit me like a natural extension of my hand. Naturally good pointing, balance was good. I started researching and came upon the history 😞. Mine was manufactured in 2020 and has the upgrades already. No send in needed. However, I’m not completely comfortable with carrying it. I carry a G43 daily. I can’t return the Sig and would lose money on trade. I’ve not shot it yet, but did cycle it in the backyard to make sure there’s no mishaps in doing that. So I guess for now it will serve as a nightstand gun with mag loaded, but chamber empty. Maybe one day there will be some concrete accessories to mitigate any chance of the AD possibility, but until then I will let it stand as is.

When I cleaned the gas piston and under the gas piston rings good along with the port holes the piston goes in it ran all day and night. The addition of the gray Or3gum piston pusher sleeve that's ported and my 930 runs like never before between cleanings over 650 plus rounds.
