im american and i hope i have children one day. im a gay guy but am dressed up as a girl in my picture. im definitely gonna raise them trilingually and have a tutor read stories, talk, etc on a tablet. the less my babies are around people the better. i hope it works, i think it will. ill do this the day i bring them home fron the hospital. they actually begin to learn language in the womb and its amazing how much you can improve your brain by feeding it. bilingual babies just after birth show on brain scans they can reconize sounds that their monoligual counterparts cant. ive never found babies cute. theyve always looked scary but whenever i see a baby i know im looking at a genius and am amazed. its crazy how fast they can learn languages and they can master a perfect accent unlike adults. they can easily learn 3 languages in 3 years. children learn languages really fast and forget them really fast. theres kids who move from france and forget french. im black and live in chicago-the most dangerous place in america but a rich white family adopted me. so i speak english with the standard american accent but when i go to the city the blacks are always so amazed at how "proper" i sound. polish is the hardest langage ive seen. each word has 13 different ways you can say it because of the cases. german doesnt have as many. the number two has 22 differwnt ways you can say it and when spelling the three to's in english i always got them mixed up till i was 16. threres three genders like german. polish people speak crazy fast. i think to myself it would be funny if they changed the curriculum entirely to polish in the city schools in chicago. the ghetto blacks would go from speaking a ghetto accent to speaking the worlds hardest language that only white people speak snd speaking a zillion miles per hour🤣🤣

If English becomes very dominant, will you consider both speaking German at home?
@BairnandaBackpack
@BairnandaBackpack 10 ай бұрын
Hey! It's definitely a consideration for us and one we review quite often! Luckily his languages are still pretty balanced (he's now 5) although it definitely helps that he goes to school in a 3rd language, Gaelic. I think it helps to stop English becoming too dominant! 😀

@@BairnandaBackpack Tá sé sin iontach uile!!! Caithfidh mé a rá go raibh roinnt uaireanta ann agus tusa ag rá rudaí áirithe agus mé féin ag ceapadh "m'anam nach bhfuil blas na gaeilge ar a cuid cainte". Níor thuig mé go raibh sibh in bhur gcónaí sa nGaeltacht!! Not sure if you can read Irish (I can usually read most Gàidhlig so I figure maybe you can) but that's wonderful!!

Thank you for this video! This is really interesting, as I have an 18-month-old girl, who we have raised bilingual with (mostly) OPOL since birth. Our combination is also that I am an English native speaker and my husband a German one. We've already seen her starting to use both languages and knowing which to use when - it's so exciting to see!

Thank you for this! When looking for toddler books, I've been surprised and annoyed to discover that 90% of books seem to be about animals acting like humans... or they're really ugly... or they have a political agenda. So hard to find just nice stories about people! I've never heard of any of the books you mentioned and look forward to checking them out!

Thanks for showcasing the possibilities. Do you still get out together? ❤

Loved the video! Appreciated how thorough and honest your review was! I just signed up for the Koala Krate for a sweet 2 year old that I Nanny. I have preteens and was a kiwi crate subscriber for them for a couple years but never at the Koala age range. So thanks!!! **There were some parts where you were speaking rather fast, that coupled with your (beautiful) accent I had a little trouble understanding. Im sure you aren’t an American focused channel but I would hate for people to miss out on your wonderful and quality video ❤

Is there a way to motivate a young toddler without rewards to use the potty? Mine (16 months) will no longer use the potty because he "doesn't want to."

Love the video. Using aftermarket carseat covers are not safe. To protect the carseat during potty training you can use a pull-up over the underwear, rubber underwear, or a cloth diaper cover over the underwear ❤️

Based on my own experience, I wholeheartedly agree with everything in this video. My 6 yr old is picky due to me not implementing these things when he was younger and trying to cut corners, but every time I follow advice like this, he starts improving. For fruit, he usually only eats bananas, smoothies, juice and fruit bars, but he tried pomegranate seeds and cherries yesterday and loved them. I almost didn't ask him to try because I thought he wouldn't like them. I just have to remember to keep an open mind, keep exposing him to new foods, and cook and eat with him, letting him have control. Would love it if you made more foraging videos, the one I just watched with Ben on your back was really good :)
