Listening to your comments at the end saying Chad sings loud and a lot of punk rock singers are loud because you start on crappy PA’s made me smile. Being an old punk rock drummer, I’ve always said the same thing about my playing loud, because we used to play shows in the late 80’s and 90’s not having the drums mic’d.

saw the show in Minnesota a month ago or so... it was so good. Was it the last club show? Seems like every other show is more outdoor festival. I feel lucky as hell to have seen it. I also got a Hefe pick!! I am so bummed I can't go to the San Pedro shows! FUCK!

Hey! This comment is specifically in response to @fp5126. I tried to reply to your comments and my replies kept getting auto-magically deleted. So, now it’s an open letter of sorts. Can’t delete me now, fucko! Ok, here we go: @fp5126, Do you only like musicians who behave and win Nobel prizes and shit? Not so much a thinker? What are your metrics? What exactly did he say that you don't think he actually knows anything about? The guy lived most of his life as the lead singer in a punk rock band. He may have said an offensive thing or two in the past. (yes, that's sarcasm) He has also apologized to people who may have been hurt by his comments. He definitely did not need to apologize and that seems like a pretty "role model" thing to do. He may not have lived a perfect life by your standards, but as fans, we've watched him change and evolve over the years. Is that worth nothing? Why do you choose to focus on his mistakes instead of lifting him up for the good things he's done or at his attempts to be better? Also, you can be a feminist, believe women have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies and also take the piss out of a woman. (just realized how apt that double entendre is. Pat myself on the back) anyways, You can do a lot worse than make a joke. (that he has since apologized for) Also, How dare you give anyone shit for when they decide to come out! You really suck for that comment. (I don't actually think you suck. I don't know you, but you pissed me off with your judgmental, holier than thou attitude) Cheers.

The first time I saw Mike play "The Decline" was on March 3 2006 at the Palladium in Massachusetts. Second song of the set. Great show, Mike got carried off the stage at the end of the show. he was so messed up, and falling over. Just saw them both days in Brockton Final Shows Aug31/Sept 1 2024, and "The Decline" is an absolute masterpiece.

Mike comes off rather insecure when he gets into the political nature of the lyrics.. like he's hoping Chris will join in on bashing

I stumbled upon this podcast a couple of weeks ago and have been binge-listening to episodes since then. It's really fun to hear you analyze songs. Buck-O-Nine, Suicide Machines, Bosstones, Reel Big Fish-pure goldmine. My favorite episodes so far are probably 'Stranger than Fiction' and 'Peaches' by The P. Thank you for this!""Hi! I didn't realize the Partridge Family wrote No Woman, No Cry. Kinda surprised that the singer of a ska band didn't pick up on the Bob Marley interpolation.

Just wanna say keep at this Chris, this channel is going to blow up when enough people discover it. Some of these breakdowns are amazing and you are asking the question we want to know about some of these old songs. Need to get MCR and FOB in here and a lot more of the new wave guys before they pass because I've never heard any channel break down a hit like this, it's gold.

I have listened to a few episodes now. Mmm, Geoff comes up a lil cocky about his band etc, at least in the first 5 mins. Nothing wrong with that, killer album but I usually like the super humble bad ass musician attitude.
