Do you know how I can add things like new makeup and skin textures? and hair?
@UmaKumaVT2 жыл бұрын
Everything works beautifully until I get to the chest. Little things like swimwear or tops in general that are their own standalone part won't stay attached to the model's chest and clip through whenever I move around. I've tried avatar tools and dressing tools but I always end up screwing something up.
@inkuxuan2 жыл бұрын
That'll be the problem of the costume's armature or weight map. You'll have to edit the model in Blender.

This level of excitement is heartwarming, lol. This is awesome that such a tool finally exists. Dressing up our characters is such an important feature in videogames, and since VRChat implemented it, I was dreaming of a way to get different outfits quickly. I guess this tool is the answer!

Question: Does the same thing apply when adding hair to the armature?
@inkuxuan2 жыл бұрын
I think for hair you'll just need the head bone to be in the right place.

Would you perhaps know what to do if clothing are stuck? I bought an avatar through Booth, but the shoes are weirdly fitted and I cannot move any axis or scale them. Any way to unlock, or something? Was watching this guide to see if you maybe did it yourself
@inkuxuan3 жыл бұрын
You might want to ask the author of the avatar if anything does not work as expected. Normally in a completed avatar, it is normal that you cannot "move" or "scale" a "part" (leg, foot, hand, etc.), because the whole avatar is combined as one mesh. If you really need to, I assume you will have to use something like Blender to modify the model.

I'm confused. I did everything but I get three errors: the upper arms arent specified, the feet arent specified, and something about the model being humanoid and something isnt mapped. im kinda new to unity and I would appreciate the help!
@inkuxuan3 жыл бұрын
If you are using a model (but not a unitypackage) not designed to be imported to VRChat, much more job is required. I'm not sure of that either. But you might want to search for how to make a model humanoid ready for VRChat.

Maybe you can help me out with this. I'm trying to apply clothing from booth onto a character that the clothing was made for, but there is terrible clipping after using the method you used. I can't figure out how to fix it, but its almost like the jacket twists in on itself.
